Okay - we do not have the fix available yet, but I can help people with the date check. Please note that I am one person having to do this manually until we can develop and deploy a fix. But, in the intrim you can send me a message through the forum here following these instructions.
Please go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ then refreash that page a couple of time to ensure that the IP address does not change then send that to me right away.
I'll then send you another message to click the "retry" button. Afterwards please let me know the results.
This "service" will be available till about 2:00am PDT

The most shocking thing for me was that I googled him and biermania works for EA in general, not Bioware in particular. So for all the bad things one hears about EA, here's a guy who'll make you think twice before generalizing negatively about EA's customer service.

and a post of the previous IM:
:The date checker came up and I pressed the button to do the check and it went through it, then the date checker closed. The computer sounded like it was going to load something and made a circular "loading" button where the mouse pointer is, and then dissapeared. Nothing loaded after this. I tried a few extra times and the quick launcher menu where you can choose to play, configure, support etc loads, but when I click on play it does the same load and dissapear thing. I tried turning off firewall and anti virus and it did not work.:

I understand that there is a issue..but come on we are talking about MAss Effect 2 not some no name game that no one was expected to download in the 100's of thousands. I hope you guys are getting near to a fix for this........
