Can someone with this problem list out the contents \\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\Binaries\\\\ folder that Direct2Drive is installing?And possibly the contents of EACore_App.ini

A workaround right now would be to use your product key within EA Download Manager and activate and download your game from there.

For me I'm not able to get past the RDC.

Pre-ordered it online just for that chance that I get by start playing just at release date Very sad :'(

This application cannot be used until the official release date has been reached. Please wait until the official release date and restart the application at that time. Click CANCEL to abort the process.

after the launcher starts and you hit play from the menu you get to a pop up that wants to check the release date upon clicking yes (accept) it goes to check the date and it returns with the message that the check failed due to the fact that the application can't be used unless it is the official release date. all you can do now is try the check again or abandon the proces

Where did you purchase ME2 and what version did you purchase? 

European release date is on the 29th. Maybe people are getting stuck with that version for some reason. 

Try using your key in EA Download Manager and downloading the version from there.

Same problem. Russia. Game purchased thru DirectCOD online store. everything normal, except Date check.

i purchased mine from Direct2Drive, digital deluxe edition, im redownloading via ea download manger to see if that works.

USA here.

Download and replace.. Runs fine

Will be 2nd link, scroll all the way to bottom

it doesn't matter where they are from people from different places in the US have the problem(east coast , west coast everywhere) people from brazil, canada, and europe  people ordered from ea-store (us version) d2d impulse.
People have gotten mails with the information codes keys etc. and the release date of 25th january.
I got it through ea as did some us folks as stated earlier in this thread and downloaded it through the ea download manager installed it through the same application and are trying to run it through ea-download manager.

Trying to start the game without ea-download manager gives the same results.

I can't even begin to figure out how EA, Bioware whatever managed to f*ck up this badly, seriously. This is just ridiculous. People who got it today on stores are already playing it and people who PRE-ORDERED the game aren't. What. The. F*ck. That just kills the whole point of pre-ordering, and apparently no one is doing NOTHING about this issue. Pathetic.

i got my game from D2D and It It Not Passing The starts the release date check And it is telling me to reinstall is there still a time lock on this digital download or is this some kind if mess up on there part

i new i should have gone and got it from the store they seem to have no problems getting the game to work dammit aney way???????????????????????????help

I know for a fact that both US English regular and collectors editions from EADM pass the release date check as I've unlocked both.

I can't get my preorder code to work for the armor and gun.  I put the code in and it said to restart console and content will appear and it didn't.  Why couldn't it have been just a regular redeem code like every other game.
