Checked my e-mails and they say the 25th. The eastore website even told me it was the 26th when I pre-ordered it and yet it can't pass this DRM bulls***. Thanks for screwing over your costumers and not the pirates.

For those with the dll error ->launch eacoreserver.exe in the binaries folder then launch the game.

For those in europe -> try to change the date on windows and using a proxy like hotspot shield, mine unlocked and i'm from europe.

I heard that the fix is to download the crack exe, the no dvd file that is pirated, if you use that exe file you will pass the check, atleast that is what i heard, not dared to try it yet, thinking they might dmg my account in someway, somehow

I found that file an hour ago, and I've been sitting here trying to decide whether I dare run it. Nod32 says it's clean, but I can't exactly say I'm too keen on trusting cracked files - even if the original might have been clean, I imagine spyware/virus infested fakes are rampant when it comes to cracks?

Still, having the game sitting there installed but unable to run until Friday (assuming the EA doesn't screw up the servers on the EU release date as well) is just so damn frustrating.

Alright, I finally got it to work. Uninstalled my firewall (Comodo) and used a VPN. Don't know if/how/why that had anything to do with the authentication, but at this point I don't care. Now I can't log into the Cerberus Network...

I have the same misgivings, but I went ahead and tried it and. . . it does work. I figure in a few days, when the problem is solved, I'll uninstall and reinstall the game. Until then, I've had no response from EA or d2d regarding the problem.

Understandable lol, it's basically a modified .exe. If you do manage to download it can you at least post back and let me know if you were able to make it past the first cutscene without freezing mate

Hey guys, they are improving. Last time (DA:O) they lied about EU release in Steam (US release day was shown - and no even apologies). Really nice, yeah.



Evil Absurd (EA) isn't good publisher and Bioware should consider moving to other.



And, again, here is the order who obtains ME2 first:



1. Pirates

2. NA users

3. EU users

4. EU Steam users (as they 'forgot' about pre-load now and I bet, they will allow download only after release date - +2 days from now).

Havent used any codes as of yet, just used it as a temporary solution really until the real deal works. Just silly to have to wait if I was promised to be able to play today.

Just played the first half hour with the cracked exe - works fine (just hope some nasty malware doesn't turn up on my computer now, but I guess I only have myself to blame if that should be the case. I'm putting my faith in Nod32 for now).

I really wish I didn't feel compelled to do this, but a legitimately purchased game just sitting there installed and ready to be played is just a bit hard to accept .



I didn't dare connect to the Cerberus network and see if the DLC codes I've redeemed work, but I can wait for that until the original game exe unlocks on Friday. I don't think I'll have had time to finish the first playthrough before then anyway.

Now I just hope my save games don't turn out to be incompatible with the proper exe file, but that seems unlikely.
