Loved him...if my Inquisitor was not a reaver I would bring him along on all the time

I've really liked Iron Bull thus far (at 75 hours in,) and I think FPJ did a great job.  I love how his voice fluctuates between the more traditional Qunari mode of speech (reminded me of Sten at times,) and the world-weary but kind-hearted merc captain.  He's surprised me in pleasant ways several times, and I find Bull far more interesting and fleshed-out as opposed to James Vega.

 

I remember when FPJ was in She's All That and other such teen romance comedies.  Back in the late 90s.  Sooo long ago.

Well, yeah, like I said, I don't expect LotR or anything. There have always been americanisms in the DA series but it's got progressively more overt with each game and Bull is basically the pinnacle of that. I half expected him to declare his marvellous swag after a dragon battle, or to dismiss some 'haters'. Varric is quite guilty of it, too.

He sounds like the love child between duke Nukem and a cartoon pirate. His pitch shifts wildly from sentence to sentence and he can't decide if he wants to do an English accent or not. The character's alright but he was horribly cast.

Contrary to popular belief "swag" exists as a word outside of "420 no scope YOLO swag". Originally it meant stolen money or goods.
