You saw a romance scene involving count orlok and you thought it was hot? I think it would be both entertaining and beneficial to explain this to your girl friend.

That's ridiculous. Count Orlok didn't dress nearly as well.

Isn't it, though? The whole scene was lovely. That "wake up" at the end reminded me so much of Inception that I was almost expecting to hear a big *bwooooomp*.
Overall, one of the better romantic scenes I've seen in a Bioware game. It might've just been kissing, but it was surprisingly well-choreographed (she kisses him, turns away in embarrassment, he pulls her back and kisses the sh*t out of her). Very sweet.

Solas is probably the only meaningful companion in this game so far...

To the OP: The romances in this game are seriously top notch, imo. They do a really good job of incorporating them throughout the game.

Good on you for even figuring out how to romance that guy! I'm probably going to have to roll another Lavellan and approach him like I used to approach Alistair (work up the approval and tread very carefully with the other companions). I got all the way through Halamshiral/Here Lies the Abyss before I realised I'd messed it up somewhere. Alas~! I've heard good things, though. So you're definitely not alone in your Solasmancing appreciation. ![]()

Solas is my favorite romance in this game. Despite some things I really dislike about it, there are tender, special moments I love. The two of you are off in your own little world.

The second cutscene is kind of a reflection of that, since Lavellan pulls him back instead (or stops him from leaving at least).

Sounds interesting. I love Solas. I didn't romance him but he was a beloved mentor to my Dalish elf, so I managed to skip the angst of the romance in the relationship. At this point debating if I want to spoil all that good feeling with a lot of unhappiness by romancing him.

Huh? I only ever see the scenes on youtube that show him wanting it but backing off etc. Does anyone have a link to the scene you guys are talking about?

I believe you need to be a female elf.

As much as I hate spoiling myself I went to watch that scene you mention on youtube. I think I'm going to try out that female elf playthrough a little sooner than I was intending.

You know, this romance is kind of spoiling my attempts to pick out a canon (As is my custom). I did a Dałish in Origins, so I wanted to do something else, a femQunari. She ended up with Sera, who I adore, but this Solas romance is just awesome, not to mention incredibly relevant to the storyline going forward.

I have to admit I usually play an old male mage, which worked great in origins, as Morrigan seemed to be one of the most important side characters. For Dragon Age 2 it seemed there was no super important side character, besides maybe Varric. But this time I'm truly tempted to play a female elf for Solas :/.

Word.So. Straight guy. In a happy committed relationship with a real life girl, but I just had the 'make out w Solas in a dream' scene and it was surreal and kinda hot.

. This game is fun!
