I love the "wake up" part.

Huh? I only ever see the scenes on youtube that show him wanting it but backing off etc. Does anyone have a link to the scene you guys are talking about?
For reference, this is the scene that the OP is talking about.
And this is what happens when you talk to him afterwards. ![]()

I like Solas but he reminds me of this fine young man lookwise

After the fade scene, I knew I couldn't have my Lavellan romance anyone else. It was just that good.
And poor Count Orlock. He just needs love too D:
LOL,nah I'd say the only thing he has in common with ole count Orlock is the bald head and the pointy ears.Solas is far prettier!I like Solas but he reminds me of this fine young man lookwise

Yeah. He's a bit unconventional with the whole shaved head thing, but he isn't unattractive at all.

I post this thing a lot, but...

Lavellan/Solas, it's written in the cards.
You know, this romance is kind of spoiling my attempts to pick out a canon (As is my custom). I did a Dałish in Origins, so I wanted to do something else, a femQunari. She ended up with Sera, who I adore, but this Solas romance is just awesome, not to mention incredibly relevant to the storyline going forward.
Argh! Why is this so hard
My Origins character was an elven mage, dumped by Alistair, who performed the Ultimate Sacrifice. Romancing Solas has made it clear that it was less the need to part that I resented, but that to a great extent it was because I rather shared Morrigan's assessment of him that I was so angry. More "against my better judgment I indulge your neediness, and this is how you pay me back," than disappointed love. Solas is interesting enough that I'm willing to pay the price. ![]()
Sounds interesting. I love Solas. I didn't romance him but he was a beloved mentor to my Dalish elf, so I managed to skip the angst of the romance in the relationship. At this point debating if I want to spoil all that good feeling with a lot of unhappiness by romancing him.
You might be surprised. The final romance scene didn't leave me with a bad feeling at all, and I replayed it a bunch of times. Which was unexpected... It's more bittersweet than angsty, and beautifully done I thought. I've now seen all the other romances on YouTube, and I like this one best because...

Agreed. I wasn't thrilled with the story on its own, but as a Dalish elf who romances Solas? There's a whole other level of meaning there. It's my favourite version of the story (even though it still needs an ending).
My poor Lavellan was miserable at her own party, though. Kept looking around and not finding Solas. Then you get the balcony scene...alone. Dammit.

I know right!?!?!
It makes the ending, and what comes after the credits, so much more poignant. I'm having difficulty convincing myself to play the story another way.
I remember discussions about Solas pre-release boiling down to "Yeah he's important because he's studied the Fade and can help you close Rifts, but other than that..."

Is there even an actual romance scene with solas? I heard he just goes for the butt grab and skips out haha XD

Heh, I always knew it was more than that. I've been thinking he was an ancient elf for awhile now (Strange apostate with conveniently relevant expertise just materializing at the right moment? There had to be more to it.)
Never quite got to, "he's an elven god" though.

Do the other LIs show up in the final balcony scene, then? I never even thought about that D:

I think I heard a writer say they wanted to leave it up to the player's imagination whether the relationship ever went that direction. He does say something about getting her in bed though.

Oh yeah, all of them.

Well he has "romantic" scenes with kissing and stuff. No sex scene or fade to black (Patrick Weekes wanted to leave it up to the players to decide if they actually did the thing). But I've gotta say, those kiss scenes had so much sexual tension that they kinda left me breathless. Way sexier than actually showing it, imo. They're incredibly well-animated. The expressions are amazing.
Just...wow. I mean, there's a reason the OP made this topic, after all. ![]()
Ha, Solas can pretty much dream rape everybody, without them even knowing it.
Solas implies they've been sleeping together if you choose a certain dialogue. But it's been left up to the player, yeah. I like things left to the imagination.

yea sounds dreamy
Sera teases you that he calls out "Elven Power" whilst doing it, and those snooty Orlesians that keep standing around my hall whisper snidely about them definitely making an exchange and that they heard it was most satisfying LOL
They were totally doing it. The real question is how often was it in the Fade vs the bedroom. ![]()
