Is there a way to completely cut off both romance options without flat out not talking to them?

Yeah, don't be nice to them. Or tell them you just want to be friends.

OK, I've told Liara that... but haven't gotten that option with Ashley yet.

With Ash, I think you have to criticize her views on alien species.

I've done that and even charmed her a bit to look more at the big picture... I think I'm at the point where either way, I'm probably going to have her come comfort me. There any way to drive her off at that point? I mean, seriously, to have to be a total ass to avoid a relationship? That's a bit messed up.

I mean, last resort I could kill her off, I like Kaidan better anyways, he's more likeable imo, just, yeah...  I mean, supposedly telling Liara she's only a friend is supposed to end it, but she's still a bit flirty, and doesn't seem to be any clear cut option against the flirting.

You dont have to be nasty to Ash and Liara, they will both show interest and just nicely say you want to stay friends.



Actually there is a piece of dialogue with Ash where she says something along the lines of "permission to speak my mind skip?" and then if you put her down with the "your out of line" comment it kills off any romance chances. She doesn't hold a grudge against you as she sees you as a professional so doesnt take it any further.

That's the thing as I said, Ash hasn't asked the friends bit and its like the romance is just continuing up to the whole "waiting" thing, at which point there is no real "no" answer. No friend asking except from Liara which I just responded to friend with both, so trying to determine if at this point if I need to kill her off to prevent it from progressing any more.

What do I do wrong with Kaidan? I certainly don't want an affair with him, but for some reasons I always get the line "I must think about that...but yeah, I guess, I will like it" and from that moment he thinks to be my lover.

To stop it, I must let him down in a rude way, which is not my style.

Can I avoid him thinking that there is more than friendship and cooperation?

Thats why in my no romance playthrough she didn´t survive Virmire,  Liara atleast accepts a no.

Tell Liara the other is special to you, then Virmire the other. Quick, easy and definitive.

AH HA! So hopefully it works, but when Ash comes on to you I basically told her maybe later. I hope that counts as not interested for a transfer since we didn't do anything....



If I get close to the end of ME2 only to find Ash is still considered my romance then I won't be able to take responsibility for my actions in the game when I Reaper extinction everyone lol





Also I did think of doing that Wittand25, but I do like her more than Kaidan... I'm getting tempted more and more though
