As the topic written above. I'm not sure if anyone figured this out but I might as well share it with you lot who doesn't have time waiting for Operations to end.
After you accept an operation all you need to do is set your time of your console settings forward a few hours. I noticed this after checking my war table when I woke up, I thought you had to be playing for the operations timer to keep moving.
I play on the PS4 so I suppose this might work on PC and XBox as well.
