After 16 attempts to join a random game (all lost connection to session), I get into one and all my keys 1-8 are unmapped.

Another 7 attempts, then I get into a game. This game is run by people from my country, so internet connectivity is not an issue.  The host and his friend are stunned that their avatars are crouching, half stuck in a wall, the other stuck in the floor.  I am trying to get to them but my avatar is "moving" in little jumps, a centimeter every second, and when I operate a lever the door doesn't open.

Are you ****** kidding me, Bioware?

And the response people get from Bioware is "if you don't like it, don't play it".  WHAT THE ****?

I paid money for this so I'd have some quality time this weekend.  My weekend time is my one most precious resource.  And you just wasted hours of mine, with nothing in return except gloating how I must be stupid to continue playing this game.

Well yeah.  I'm realizing that now.

Thank you for clarifying.

Now that you got my money, you don't care.

No more Bioware games for me.

That is some pretty awful luck and MP certainly has a number of issues but I do have to ask... You bought a SP game for MP? You make it sound like you paid 60 bucks for a multiplayer game.

Wow, that sucks dude. First time I've heard of it going on that long. I mean, I figure everyone loses connection sometimes but 16 is a ton. I can count the max for me maybe being 3 times or so and even then it isn't a super big deal. And that's the first time I have heard of that particular set of bugs. Don't get me wrong, this game has a ton of issues as it is including ****** RNG store (170 completed operations, 4 promote only 1 purple ever) but it is hardly unplayable.

Shitty deal man.

The glitched game sounds funny. Try and take some footage of it. Glitches get a lot of views on YouTube too. You might be able to make some money back.

After 5 attempts at finding a game I'd just host my own.  I don't know why you tried so much, and you remember so many specifics about how many games you tried connecting to.

There could be many reasons for trouble finding a game, such as router, isp, your country, hours of playing, which all vary.  This product is not without drawbacks/bugs/glitches/hitches but all in all I'm finding it like any game that is released that is popular and has a multiplayer component.  Bioware can't say definitively it will run flawlessly on your system, or that it should run without the occasional headache, but to have trouble connecting to games and then blasting bioware saying it's definitely on their end.. I dunno..

Sucks your experience is not like mine.  I'm having fun, and actually am enjoying mp more than sp.  But then, I'm paralyzed by choice so.. ulgh.. 45 min of dialogue..

I have 1000+ hours of Mass Effect 3 on the clock.

Around 10% of that was single player, tops.

So yes, I basically paid for the multiplayer.

I did.  You know what happened?  "Lost connection to session".

No, I'm not joking.  I wish I was.

So my working theory is that the sessions are not actually the games or anything related to P2P, they are slots on Bioware servers, and Bioware provided something like 20 slots for 20000 gamers.  And those servers are in Canada.  They might as well be in Australia.

At least that's what it feels like.

It would also explain the latency issues, and why 70% of the treasure vases you destroy spontaneously reform right away.

I was having similar issues as you.  Open these ports in your firewall, make sure you also open them on your router firewall if it has one.

http://help.ea.com/e...ge-inquisition/

After I did that, I have had no more issues with MP connections.

It comes across highly unusual to me, and to base the worth of the game entirely on MP, which constitutes, what, 5% of the game? Seems rather poor.

In a way, I did. Kinda hard to enjoy the whole of the game if either half is malfunctioning.

Wow. I've had some issues but nothing that bad. Some days I have a lot of connection issues and others are not so bad. Hopefully your luck changes.

Yeah, a friend of mine has never played DA games before and got DAI just because he liked ME3 MP so much. He hasn't even started the SP campaign

The MP is an advertised feature of the game. The fact that BioWare are better known for SP game is no excuse for the state of the multiplayer. In fact, the quality of their SP games might lead some to believe they would get the same quality in MP. It honestly seems like the MP was made by an entirely different dev team who had no access to the single player game or devs.

Uhm it was made by an entirely different den team....

Besides to everyone moaning, if you bought this game for the multi without actually getting feedback about it first you are an idiot.

Though yea it needs a lot of work.

How is it unusual? I don't enjoy single player games as much as multiplayer games. I like dragon age and I like multiplayer. Figure the rest out yourself.

I know loads of people on my FL who don't give a single damn about single player, myself included.

I didnt even start the campaign, a lot of people come from Me3MP and bought this game only for mp.

And how do you get multiplayer feedback when pre ordering? Idiot.

There are def clear technical issues to solve with the MP, but my experience has been nowhere near as bad as what the OP describes - and I've played it quite a bit.

If you have a good rig, and are encountering problems, then host your own games.  Everyone will be thankful.

I am probably 95% MP (About 200 hours) and 5% SP (18 hours) so I think your math is kinda off. Each to their own. The multiplayer on DA is amazing. OP, you lost connection to your own host? Don't be silly. I lose connection to host usually about 5-6 times till I get in a game, kinda got used to it.

I played far more ME3 multiplayer than singleplayer.  My entire friend group and I picked this game up largely for the coop multiplayer--most of them hadn't ever played a Dragon Age before.  I've done completionist nightmare playthroughs on each class with each DA game and own almost all the DLC and still bought this game mostly for the multiplayer.  If I were buying for the SP, I would've waited for it to go on sale a bit.

So yeah, it kinda feels like you flat-out made that number up based on your own view and are trying to generalize it to some higher truth.

I'm guessing you never played ME3MP. I pre-ordered this game with no reservations because ME3MP was so ****ing amazing and gave me countless hours of fun. The only thing I wanted from this game was the MP, and I still haven't touched single player more than a few hours and don't intend to because my inquisitor was mercifully put out of her misery and spared any more bad writing after dying to a bear.

I, too, bought this game largely with the intent of playing a ton of MP, since ME3 MP was like one of my frickin' favorites.  And, I am as well having ENORMOUS issues with lag, etc.

Already talked 2 of my friends out of getting it until either the price drops or there are some major fixes.  It sucks for me, b/c I bought the game with the intent on playing with the same 2 friends. ha.
