Okay..

the game was great, it reminded me of dragon age: o, even thought there was some problems for me it was the apostate caches but after learning  not to put my marker on the quest marks that saved me few hours of trying to get behind the watchtower{ did this after i  started my second playthru as soon as it came up and got it out of the way..

but every sidequest had tie in to the main storyline regardless of if you got agent or not it showed the other races that we didnt know of and or that we knew little of thru the codex's and how they thought about the rifts that was opening up around them and what the lore said about them thru even if was slightly less then we expected and became apparent that these races been around  for a while and  been hidden thru the ages and some of what we are seeing happened before to them.

main story was very fun to play but at times became tedious because i did every side quest  and waiting to get the timers  down to be able to open a new areas after exploring the hinter lands and mire marsh till they had nothing to give till the next part also did the hidden oasis with what shards i got but kept getting killed due to being to low, also loved how they explained the skulls with the crystal in its eye socket and what they was used for and how they was made...

Side quests tie directly into the mainstory{ sometimes} the way they made it feel when i was playing thru the game was great and by great, i mean it kept me going thru the game  finding new things to explore and seeing the ! and or  the ? and finding what they was  fun to  find and sometimes oh no i am not going near you mr level red skull i will come back to you and kick your ass after.

Dragons, dragons and MORE dragons tie ins BioWare you can be really cruel sometimes i swear the mainstory line had 3 dragons to fight 4 if you counting if you wanted to fight cory on even terms augh but i got them down after learning there styles and such { wont go into details since it will spoil the story on which is tied in to mainstory..

star drawings love them! they seem to remind me paper cant leave the pen and cant cross a dot if its already connected love those puzzle...

elf temple puzzle Bioware i hate you for this but at the same time i love you for them i tried to get them  i got like 3  of the puzzle done and then started to get massive headache{not from the puzzles my wife wanted to play}, so i jumped down the hole and finished the game those puzzles put me at the 200+ hours with all side quest done for my head cannon play thru for my qun mage..

So i just want to say thank you for making this game and leading us around areas that was really  breathtaking and party banter wasnt missing from mine at all so  thank you for NOT making this into MMO which some people dont know it was going to be but was changed , so i am thankful to be playing the game. alot people that find out about  that are actually saying there glad you changed your minds on it on when i  play mp with them we talked about  sp and quest and stuff

It is a good game, I can't deny that, but after watching a 30 minute you tube gameplay video of witcher 3, I'm like yeah ok, whatever? Sorry for bringing this up, I don't want to cause a witcher 3 DA flamewar, but it does look simply amazing.

I'm sure cd projekt red would appreciate hearing that a lot more than we would. Perhaps leave feedback for the video on their forum?

Unless they fixed the KB & M controls for DAI, I'm looking forward to witcher 3.

Perhaps, but I don't think most people limit themselves to just one game. Anyway it was just a fleeting comment, and I have no intention of mentioning it anymore.

i will be getting witcher3 no doubt gotta have something after dyinglight comes out since witcher comes out feb 24th and to feed my rpg  hunger pains and  no there should be no flame ware between the 2 since witcher3  is not out yet so we have very little to go on atm aside from videos and such i will make  my point of it  when it out and compare it to the games i have played but so far the  dragon age:i is setting the bar to what  comes out  later on in the 2014 year since its already won the goty{which i knew it would since witcher got delayed so there was really no competition in the cat of rpg}

but there nothing wrong with loving both games

Nobody's asking you to limit yourself to one game. You're absolutely free to do like both in whatever amount. In fact, I happen to also like The Witcher, I'm in the middle a TW2 playthrough (though I stopped playing recently due to wanting to play more DA). But I agree that it's a little silly to declare that DA:I is "meh" while simultaneously elevating TW3 - on a forum dedicated to the Dragon Age franchise. Some fans of the series and of DAI specifically take insult when such labels are put on this game, which they happen to like very much. Especially when TW3 isn't even out yet.

Essentially, you're saying that a 30min youtube video of TW3 has already proven that it will be much, much better than the entirety of DA:I, which I'm assuming you've played given that you're judging it so. Like, wut? That comparison itself begins to sound more and more ridiculous the more I look at it XD.

Finally, let me say that TW and DA are two vastly different experiences with a few similar elements. You can't compare a banana to an apple - eating each is a different experience with a few similar elements. Whether one is better than the other is entirely subjective - in this case, it literally all depends on your tastes.

Why? Bioware should both appreciate and respect their direct competition.

It just seems pointless and snippy to me. If it were feedback such as "I really like ___ feature from ___ game, it would be cool if something similar was included in the next game" something like "____ looks cooler, just saying" it's not constructive. Plus companies rarely get praised for all te things they do right and simply get chewed out for any mistakes. It would be nice to give positive feedback directly to a company you like.

I for one am not looking forward to TW3, ive tried both TW1 and TW2 and not gotten on with either of them, didnt like the controls, either with KBM or gamepad. Plus the fact your limited to one main character...after playing games like KOTOR, ME and the earlier DA games I cant think of anything more boring than an RPG with only 1 fixed character that you cant customise

Why do people even compare them? It's like comparing Total War with Civilization...

Yes, I'm sure the intention of your completely off-topic comment wasn't to derail the thread at all.

Contrary to a lot of people, I also felt, that. at least the main zone quests did tie in well with the main quest. Samson and the Red Templars etc. Just because there were no cut scenes, did not make them unimportant. When you read the journals or notes etc. lying around, you could really find the connections. They were telling part of the story.

I loved the elven puzzles as well. Oh, and the dwarven one in the Hissing Wastes, although that wasn't really difficult.
