ok why make a world state if it doesnt transfer to the game. i made one where leliana dies but yet she is still alive in inquisition. logic is if she died in DA) she should not be alive in DAI what gives.
world state is crap

She somehow survives. It's not wrong.(Sacred Ashes or something). In DAII, if someone kills her in Origins, she still survives(she cryptic about how she survive though).

They put that tile there more so that it affects her relationship with the Warden. Sure she survives but she's rather venomous about the Warden if so.

Nothing is more irritating than when storytellers dilute their own narratival gravitas by bringing back dead characters. It angers me enough when they do off screen deaths and bring the characters back; sure it disrespectful to our intelligence at the very least but it is not an outright lie to the audience.
But it is a different situation when you show the person actually die (or state in explicit terms they are dead) and then ignore your word and make them alive. It not only dilutes the meaningfulness of that moment, but every moment thereafter because the audience can no longer trust the reality of the narrative, which is a shame. If a storyteller cannot commit to the permanence of death, then death should not be used as a thematic element

Sacred Ashes.
Anders comes back from the dead as does Oghren. So Bioware have a history of it

Which is another reason I dislike DLC. Characters come back who aren't supposed to and everyone is forced to adopt the events of the DLC regardless of whether they even participate in it.

But the case here is that she actually acknowledges her death. Still, far better than just ignoring your previous choices as The Elder Scrolls does.

When do Anders and Oghren die? Do you mean in epilogues or was there some in game event I'm forgetting?
I did hear you can kill Oghren in camp and he shows up in Awakening saying he woke up alone.

It's possible for Anders to die in Awakening if you leave him behind, save Amaranthine instead of the Keep, and don't have all the upgrades. The description you get in the epilogue, though, does leave room for him to have faked his death and run away. And Nathaniel even acknowledges this if he and Anders meet in DA2.

...did you talk to Leliana before making this topic? She talks about how she was killed by the Warden. She acknowledges that she was dead, and somehow came back to life. She isn't sure why or how, and has been looking for answers ever since.
It also affects her views on the Warden, and her attitude towards the world. "There are no such thing as heroes" I distinctly remember her saying in my first conversation with her. So yeah - it has an impact on the world. It might not have been the impact you were expecting - but the game does recognize that the Warden killed her, and there are consequences for that; despite her coming back from the grave.

I hope they do more with her coming back. It is definitely annoying when they undo your decisions without good story exposition behind it.
