In the "Here Lies the Abyss" questline, in Western Approach, I encountered a glitch in the dialogue. This was on PS4.
when I approached the quest start point and the dialogue started, Stroud would say his first line of dialogue and then just stop, staring at me, with no dialogue options popping up. The only way to continue was to press square and skip ahead.
This continued throughout this portion of the quest, every time Stroud had dialogue. He would say the first line and then the game would just stop, not freeze up, but just stop until I skipped ahead.

I have the same bug on the xbox 360.  Whenever Stroud has a line of dialogue in conversation, it doesn't continue until I press x/blue to skip it.  It continues after the fight until the line where Stroud tells you the direction Erimond fled.  Then it just stops there, and you just get a close up of Stroud blinking and no button you push does anything.  Can't even access the game menu.  I can only access the console menu and restart the whole game.  I reloaded and retried six times, all with the same result.  Needless to say, this a game killer as I can't proceed with the story from that point.

There is a bioware chat open on this "Jeffzero" if it has not closed, contains about a page of suggestions that they propose as temporary workarounds.

PS4

I have the same bug, that when I chose to talk to Varric's friend (Hawke), it changed my character's voice. Very annoying.

Yeah,I had the same problem after the fight,no skip button or anything. In frustration, I mashed the buttons on my controller, flipped it onto the bed, looked up and the dialogue options had popped up, so I was able to get through the mission.
Will probably stay away from this quest line for as long as I can tho, hehe.
wonder if anyone is having this issue when Hawke's companion isn't Stroud.
