So, I've noticed that every time I switch party members in tactical view, it snaps the cursor and view over that party member. I hate this. I've looked at all the settings. I'd rather stay over the bad guys I'm looking to target.

EG: It's very annoying clicking my mage or archer and snapping over them when they're not in the middle of the action. They're suppose to be in the background and I know where they are already.  I know it may be a minor inconvenience but it's damn annoying having to scroll back to the action every time I set a spell for them to cast.

Any way to stop this from happening in the settings I may have missed? Add-on perhaps? Not sure if add-ons are supported.

Thanks in advance.

It happens to everyone. It may get patched out.

I don't mind it because I tend to do that anyway (and it in fact bothered me in DAO when isomteric didn't do this) but I get why most hate it.

What I hate is that the tactical cam "cursor" can't go through objects like walls, fencing, etc.

Yeah, the combination of these two problems and the fact that you can't zoom or pan around worth a damn makes for really, really crappy combat controls and a tactical camera that does not deserve its label in any way. I love the game for its writing, but the combat and the UI are as colossal step back from DA:O, which in turn was a step back from Baldur's Gate.

Yesterday I was in tactical camera, and I had to walk the camera around a boulder and up a hill so I could target a fade rift. I feel like a documentary crew is making a movie about the Inquisition, and part of the gameplay is setting up their shots. And no, that's not a good thing!
