Ok guys, it's been nearly 3 weeks, so lets review.
We already know about Nugallopes (the 10K box sold at Val Royeaux)
We know about the "Bog Unicorn" from the Deluxe edition.
Dracolisks are NOT "exotic" cause they have their own category.
Solved this game three times already and can NOT find any other mounts.
Yes I jnow you can buy other mounts, but you can't buy NEW TYPES.
So what gives Bioware? There's three remaining?!

I think they might actually be promo mounts, because when I got the Avaar draft it took the middle of my three locked slots. Now I have two locked slots and they're not even next to each other, so they're not colour things.
I would guess one of the slots I'm missing is for the dracolisk from the Prima Guide promo, and the other is probably for ordering from a specific outlet (mostly likely Amazon or Gamestop).

I don't know HOW that could be legit. If you have added content, fine, but making promos part of those three slots is d-bag territory.
Not to mention the obvious; nothing "exotic" about a horse.
Has anyone confirmed this by bioware or anyone else? Is this a bug? (God knows there are plenty of those)

See, that's what I'm talking about. I believe you, but since lisks have their own category, how can they be considered "exotic"?
I wish someone would just man up & tell us officially "yeah, ur screwed, our bad" as much as that would suck, at least I could drop it.

I got one dracolisk from the war table (capture mission) and the rest (dracolisks, horses and harts) you can buy at the stables in skyhold.....it shows up as a merchant on the map, but its just the small notice sign next to the stables.

You have to kill a dragon first before you can buy a dracolisk, and as stated, dracolisks are not exotic.

Also according to Bioware at least one type is exotic, aside from the giant nug and the bog unicorn I don't think there are any other different exotic types of riding animal which is a shame as I thought we might get Wyerns, Brontos etc.

Considering you see Blackwall carving a griffon, which is actually completed near end of game with a saddle & everything, I was hoping too, hence the OP.
I'm hoping these other slots for these "mounts" are like in the war table, when you acquire agents, etc. If you get an agent, they're just listed despite there not being a slot for them to show up in the first place.
As for answering his question, yeah I admit i'm anal. get 20 posts about how ppl love the sound of the Hart, how cute bla bla bla bs, I'm just trying to keep the white noise down to a minimum.

Has anyone bought the 10 000 gold mystery box from the merchant in Orlais? I read a rumour that it was a War Nug. But I've not seen it confirmed anywhere.

Like snackrat the Avaar Draft horse is definitely one of the exotics. It's also in my opinion ugly as sin.
At any rate you can get it for free a couple of ways, PC only though AFAIK.
1) Through Raptr buy buying it for 500 Raptr points. You can find out how to earn the points here, there's various things you can do like signing up that will get you points. 2) Share a gameplay video through plays.tv. Seems to require downloading the Raptr client. Apparently everyone who shares a video gets a code for the Avaar draft horse. Not sure if you get it right away when you upload the video or not since I did it the points way.

Why AREN'T there brontos? They already have the assets (the Inq uses them as caravan beasts) and they'd use the same skeleton as horses... don't they? Maybe their knees are different, but they're essentially rhinos and rhinos are technically forward-face, aren't they?
