Last time I was mostlly lighting/w rift spec, which I barely got to try since it took me about 5 freakin' levels to get those lousy tomes! Ahhhhhhh!

 

So anyone have a new way to play? I spec my other mages in a specific tree- for me

 

Solas spirit/ wit a bit of ice

Viv- fire

dorian-- lighting

 

Each can pop barrier, Solas is more 'healer' but I like each mage with their own element plus their specs

 

I'm lighting, but I basically was that in my other run

 

I'm thinking Lighting/Necro?  Fire/Rift?  Ice/KE?

Well if you looked at guides, its pretty clear that Venatori tomes only dropped by Rifting Mages in exalted plains at 3 specific locations. So yeah its pretty terrible way to get specialization...

As for new way to play, how about pure support mages, with spells in Spirit, Ice and rift tree
