If Bioware were to release a Canon Outline for Dragon Age, how do you feel it would be?

The canon Inquisitor needs the damn helmet. :P

So the Qunari is out. That's all I know.

I'm still not over what they did to Revan and the Exile, does that give you your answer?

Why do some people keep thinking A human male noble? It's a female elf FEMALE..ELF. The Female elf is the default state for inquisition, and in the keep. They could have gone with human noble already, but they did not. Therefore the warden is female FEMALE.

Bioware Cannon:

Human Male Mage Warden
Human Male Warrior Hawke side with Templars
Human Male Mage Inquisitor. side with mages

My Cannon:
Dalish Male Rouge Warden
Human Male Mage or Rogue Hawke Side with mages
Qunari Male Mage Inquisitor. Side with Templars

and why do all the cannon Heros need to be Male?? The default state as it is, is an equal split.

I'd rather they not address it at all, really.

Why do we need a "canon" for a game that has so much choice? I remember not even looking at DAII because I read some threads before it released stating that Hawke was a human male and that was what they were going with. I didn't give Dragon Age another look after that until recently because I felt that was such a drastic direction change from the first game and it was stupid. Of course later it seems they either changed their minds because of feedback or that information was faulty to begin with (I tend to think the former), but by then they'd already lost a launch sale.

Canon stories like that make sense when it's a single protagonist, with a set backstory and they want to tell only one tale. It doesn't work in a game where the player has control over who the protagonist is.

I'd actually prefer if they set a canon. Decisions like which people sit on the thrones, whether the anvil was destroyed, and who became divine should have huge consequences that would require more than just a different cameo to show. They should take Thedas, or at least parts of it in very different directions. That's beyond their ability to show, hence the unsatisfying resolution to the OGB. Instead, If they set a canon, then we're free to imagine what radical differences our choices made.

DA:O Human mage. Seems like the Harrowing and how mages are treated is best to set the setting for future issues we know arise. It really shows the tension between mages and templars. Circle not destroyed, Wynne recruited and alive and well. Romanced Leliana, didn't poison ashes. Alistair had OGB with Morrigan. Loghain made a warden. Alistair King. Brokered peace with elves/werewolves. Bhelen on the dwarven throne, Branka destroys anvil, chantry funded, and Dagna goes off to research. Recruited Zevran, alive and well at end. Recruited Oghren. I think that covers the important items - for me anyway :)

DA2 - Hawke 2h warrior - Diplomatic. Bethany sent to wardens - survives final battle. Kill Arishok. Romanced Merrill and Eluvian not destroyed. Zevran given to Nuncio. All other companions alive and well - Sebastian recruited. Did not approve of Anders choice but he is not killed for it. Varric keeps a small piece of red lyrium. Bartrand killed. Templars sided with. For me those are the important things covered in 2.

DAI - Female Elf - romanced Solas. Freed Mages, did not let Solas kill the apostates. Lelianna softened and new divine. Hawke saves us, dies. Wardens banished with Loghain left to rebuild them. Blackwall allowed to stay. On friendly terms with most companions but disagrees with Sera on her view of elves. Disagrees with Cass on her view of chantry but convince her to rebuild seekers. Vivienne not recruited. Never learn the truth about Blackwall. Don't drink from the well. Cullen free of lyrium. Chargers alive. Cole a spirit.

In DAI - I would prefer templars conscripted and having them free from lyrium addiction and joining the ranks of the seekers but I can't ever seem to get Lelianna as divine when I go this route, although I know it is possible, I just haven't managed it yet.

I don't mind if bioware have there own canon which they do. its there default state but if they wanted a more in depth canon it wouldn't make no difference to me because there canon won't effect my game. While i did model my warden and hawke after there trailer, sword and shield warrior and blood mage respectively my inquisitor canon is a rogue dagger. What's the difference between bioware stating there canon and other people saying there canon is all mage heroes or female elf inquisitor or dwarf warden? nothing. if bioware wants to tell the story they created there way just like everybody else i am fine as long as bioware allows me to tell the dragon age story my way. If anything i am interested in a bioware canon to know how they interpret there story regardless i already played all 3 games and have set my story the way i want it bioware can make a movie for all i care ill watch it cause im a fan of the series and if they wanna make more money so they can make more games i will support them if its good.
