I took a look at my blackwall and noticed his armor rating front, is lower than his overall armor rating. How can this be? He's holding a shield so the front armor should be higher,... but its not.

Does he got guard activated, and Trust the Steel passive in the Vanguard tree? I believe that one is bugged, and only gives armor to back and sides -- not front.
Though 20% increase of 187 that would be 224, which almost makes sense, I guess?
I have no idea to be honest.

All passive and active abilities that increase armor rating does not affect front armor rating. It's a known and regretful bug.
The only buff that affects both armor rating and front armor rating is Rock Armor Tonic.

Yeah he does have Trust the steel. Is bioware aware of this bug?

looks like this isnt fixed in the latest patch either
