Its been a long, long time since I've played the kotors.. forget a lot of the plot.. .I loved that game so I want to replay it, but I know it had a lot of issues on windows 7 (that were fixable)

 

does it run on win8.1?

^Yes, the GOG version has a lot of the issues ironed out. There are some mods out there that help fix stability issues, aspect ratios, and other minor graphical/audio glitches.

One thing you could do, that I just had to with Jade Empire, is go into the properties of the .exe files and set the compatibility options to run under an older version of Windows. There may be an additional, slightly complicated step required, which was the case with Jade Empire, but I wouldn't be comfortable explaining it, having only done it once, but Google would help.

What patches were you using for KotOR II? I've never heard of KotOR II working fine on any OS out of the box.

Yeah, I got it on GOG. Works perfectly!
