BEFORE STARTING, ENSURE YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT IS NOT LINKED TO AN OLD GAMERTAG. IF THAT IS SO, PLEASE ADD YOUR NEWEST GAMERTAG TO YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT.

X360

1) I suggest redeeming it in-game by logging in to an existing EA Online account (or creating a new one ingame).
2) Enter your code.
3) Your terminal should now open up. On the left hand side you will see the downloadable content menu item. Click
4) Currently only Normandy Crash is available for download.
5) activate any additional promotional items on the social site using the code redeem.

If you choose to redeem the code on the mass effect social site....

Please make sure you log in to that exact same account in game that you did on the social

PC

1)Repeat steps 1-3
2) will take you to your web browswer where it will show you what you are able to download.
3) Install the content and restart the game
4) Make absolutely sure you are using the same EA Online account

What happens, if we had a different email for the Xbox, then we did the social network site for the download? I had no idea what linked email my EA account was... nor did the card warn me that i'd lose everything if I didn't fact check like a Wall Street Journal writer.

Please tell me the official Bioware line isnt ..."My bad"

if you put your 360 codes on the me2 website, you should still be ok - provided you used the same ea online account in-game

The same email address should be used for both.

Hey, Gamble - I have a slight suggestion: STOP USING THE DAMN EA ACCOUNTS. Huzzah, I fixed the problem. ALL the problems.

I've checked. My Live ID, and My Social Networking emails are the same. However, My gamertag is linked to an old email address. EA wouldn't change the email address for me, under many requests.. as the email account was closed long ago.

I guess I'm just out of luck?

If you have used your code at any point with any email that's not attatched to anything related to this matter, it seems that you are boned. I've been trying for three hours to change, delete, modify or transfer my EA account, BioWare account and xbox live account, but once the code is used, it's used.

Just to clarify for my specific situation...

I have been registered here at EA.com since 2007, and on my EA account I have already linked my 360 Gamertag and have had it set as my default persona. However, the email address that I have linked to my EA.com and BioWare social login is different than the login address for my 360 Gamertag. I think previously, with Battlefield: Bad Company, there was something that I had to do with my EA account in order to unlock something in BBC... perhaps show that I had played another Battlefield game in the past to unlock something in Bad Company... and that worked just fine.

So first, will the different email addresses from my EA.com/BioWare Social account and Gamertag make any difference at all? And second, I do not have a hi-speed connection here at home anymore, and thus will have to take my 360 elsewhere to update the DLC. Will it be necessary to setup the in-game id while connected to the internet, or can that be done beforehand? Also, will it be necessary to setup the in-game id BEFORE redeeming any codes on the website (I assume here at BioWare)?

I just do not want to have any of the problems I have been seeing in the forums, as it will be unlikely I'll get more than one shot at this.

Scarecrow. Yes, the Different addresses will cause the issue at hand. Your EA address needs to be the same as the social address, and then linked to the EA site via the same address.

@Gamble

How do i go about changing my email address on this social site, so that I can access my DLC on my xbox? I entered the codes on this site as directed by the redeem cards. My Gamertag is linked to an EA account on a different email address that I was previously unaware existed because of Dragon Age.
I'd just like to change my email address to the same one on my EA account, but i can't find anyway of changing it.

You will need to set up a new EA account according to what your xbox live's email is at. And also set up a BioWare account according to what your xbox live's email is at. Do not use the code if that option is unavailable.

Creat a new Windows Live ID, Then switch your Xbox Live email to that, then create matching EA and BioWare accounts, THEN use the code.

There needs to be a clear, exact step for step definition and example complete with "If this, then that" scenarios, straight from the horses mouth.

what do you do when you find out your gamertag is saved to an email you hardly use anymore... there is no way to combine ea account.. all your code are lost.

This is their answer?  F-ing Seriously?  I followed the instructions per the card and because some random game a long time ago had my gtag linked to an old email address - I'm screwed?  Really.  I was really looking forward to this game - now it's going in the trash.  God I hate EA.
