BEFORE STARTING, ENSURE YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT IS NOT LINKED TO AN OLD GAMERTAG. IF THAT IS SO, PLEASE ADD YOUR NEWEST GAMERTAG TO YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT.

X360

1) I suggest redeeming it in-game by logging in to an existing EA Online account (or creating a new one ingame).
2) Enter your code.
3) Your terminal should now open up. On the left hand side you will see the downloadable content menu item. Click
4) Currently only Normandy Crash is available for download.
5) activate any additional promotional items on the social site using the code redeem.

If you choose to redeem the code on the mass effect social site....

Please make sure you log in to that exact same account in game that you did on the social

PC

1)Repeat steps 1-3
2) will take you to your web browswer where it will show you what you are able to download.
3) Install the content and restart the game
4) Make absolutely sure you are using the same EA Online account

but what if we put our 360 codes on the mass effect website? it wont let me download anything. Also when i go to purchase it says its free so im not sure what is going on.

if you put your 360 codes on the me2 website, you should still be ok - provided you used the same ea online account in-game

What happens, if we had a different email for the Xbox, then we did the social network site for the download? I had no idea what linked email my EA account was... nor did the card warn me that i'd lose everything if I didn't fact check like a Wall Street Journal writer.

Please tell me the official Bioware line isnt ..."My bad"

The same email address should be used for both.

Just to clarify for my specific situation...

I have been registered here at EA.com since 2007, and on my EA account I have already linked my 360 Gamertag and have had it set as my default persona. However, the email address that I have linked to my EA.com and BioWare social login is different than the login address for my 360 Gamertag. I think previously, with Battlefield: Bad Company, there was something that I had to do with my EA account in order to unlock something in BBC... perhaps show that I had played another Battlefield game in the past to unlock something in Bad Company... and that worked just fine.

So first, will the different email addresses from my EA.com/BioWare Social account and Gamertag make any difference at all? And second, I do not have a hi-speed connection here at home anymore, and thus will have to take my 360 elsewhere to update the DLC. Will it be necessary to setup the in-game id while connected to the internet, or can that be done beforehand? Also, will it be necessary to setup the in-game id BEFORE redeeming any codes on the website (I assume here at BioWare)?

I just do not want to have any of the problems I have been seeing in the forums, as it will be unlikely I'll get more than one shot at this.

Use your ea email account and you should be safe. We dont care about the xbox/windows live ID credentials

Wow, so I found out my original EA account info with my gamertag linked to it. Is there any way to transfer or change this bioware account's email/info to my original EA account so I can get my DLC? Would that even work? (Apparently you can't change your email yourself, I'd need tech to do it for me.)

I feel like an idiot but the fact remains that I'm without my paid for DLC.

youre going to have to contact ea support to do the persona switching for you. or you can ask them to give you new codes.

How would I link my Gamertag with my EA account? Is this done ingame? Or say, via this website?

the ea website, as mentioned above they are 'personas'. if your email has never had a gamertag linked to it, you are ok
