I guarantee this is not Bioware. This is EA. Bioware has never done anything remotely near this braindead. Ever. Only the company that ruined all sports games (including their own through lack of competition, which leads to stagnation) by buying up the Player's Association rights to actual player names would do something this ignorant and shortsighted. Oooh, let's increase the web traffic to our site. And **** the people who give us the bulk of our income in the process.

Goddamn it, I wish EA would go bankrupt.

I'm the same way when it comes to posting in forums. I never do either. I really hope EA's the one that boned this. I hold Bioware in pretty high regard. How much of this stuff am I missing out on when I first start the game? I don't want to have to wait.

But then they'd take BioWare with them... and that would be bad.

I can't load my mass effect 1 char. =( So I can't start a game to get the armor if I got it. And if that made sense, then **** yeah!

When a major corporation goes down, the carcass is dissected into tiny pieces and auctioned to the highest bidder.

Let's just say that Bioware would be the brain.  And there would be a lot of really high bidders.  I'm pretty sure they'd be fine.  You don't make products as well as they do and not stick around.

Ugh, having the same problem. I knew I had made a previous EA account for DA:O, and must have linked my Gamertag to it (because I can't link this new one.) I requested a new password knowing this, and never got the damn reply, so I created a new one and figured I could just re-link it.

So now after precisely following the instructions on the cards (THAT CONTRADICT WHAT THE GAME MENU SAYS, THANKS FOR THAT) I've gotten all my DLC stuck on this account without being able to download it. Screw whoever decided this was a good system instead of the normal XBL redemption codes.

I'm going to be emailing EA support non-stop until they fix this situation. I suggest everyone do the same. This kind of screw up is unacceptable and seriously makes me consider whether I want to make any more EA purchases, as much as I love Bioware.

Yeah, I saw that. Doesn't help considering my gamertag is still connected to an older account I can't access. I just emailed EA support, hopefully I'll have a reply when I wake up. If that doesn't work I'm just going to flat out demand new codes. I don't care if I have to send in a copy of my receipt, I'm getting what I paid for.

Just to clarify for my specific situation...

I have been registered here at EA.com since 2007, and on my EA account I have already linked my 360 Gamertag and have had it set as my default persona. However, the email address that I have linked to my EA.com and BioWare social login is different than the login address for my 360 Gamertag. I think previously, with Battlefield: Bad Company, there was something that I had to do with my EA account in order to unlock something in BBC... perhaps show that I had played another Battlefield game in the past to unlock something in Bad Company... and that worked just fine.

So first, will the different email addresses from my EA.com/BioWare Social account and Gamertag make any difference at all? And second, I do not have a hi-speed connection here at home anymore, and thus will have to take my 360 elsewhere to update the DLC. Will it be necessary to setup the in-game id while connected to the internet, or can that be done beforehand? Also, will it be necessary to setup the in-game id BEFORE redeeming any codes on the website (I assume here at BioWare)?

I just do not want to have any of the problems I have been seeing in the forums, as it will be unlikely I'll get more than one shot at this.

Use your ea email account and you should be safe. We dont care about the xbox/windows live ID credentials

Looks like I'll be on the phone with someone "at EA" (more like a call center in New Delhi) all day tomorrow trying to convince them to untether my Gamertag from its old account to the one I used to redeem the DLC and Cerberus Network codes.

Man, am I glad I stayed up all night for this!

Wow, so I found out my original EA account info with my gamertag linked to it. Is there any way to transfer or change this bioware account's email/info to my original EA account so I can get my DLC? Would that even work? (Apparently you can't change your email yourself, I'd need tech to do it for me.)

I feel like an idiot but the fact remains that I'm without my paid for DLC.

youre going to have to contact ea support to do the persona switching for you. or you can ask them to give you new codes.

I used my cerberus network card on the site and I can't access it or my DLC ingame now. And on the "chronodusk@gmail.com" account my gamertag "Ferrux" is linked to it and it should be linked to "ferruxwilliams@live.com" since my Mass Effect 2 stuff uses that email. Can anyone help me in any way?

I think it's done via the ratarded "persona" thing. I say that because my old account has a "Ferrux" persona on it and if I try to link my gamertag "Ferrux" to the Mass Effect 2 account I created, it says the name is taken. -_-

BEFORE STARTING, ENSURE YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT IS NOT LINKED TO AN OLD GAMERTAG. IF THAT IS SO, PLEASE ADD YOUR NEWEST GAMERTAG TO YOUR EA ONLINE ACCOUNT.

How would I link my Gamertag with my EA account? Is this done ingame? Or say, via this website?

the ea website, as mentioned above they are 'personas'. if your email has never had a gamertag linked to it, you are ok

So just to clarify, the email account used (and therefore linked too) to create my Live account does not matter? As long as this EAcumBioware Social account is linked to my GT I shall be fine?

If if your "persona" is on any other account, you're screwed and no one will help since EA sucks.

Aside from emailing EA, I can't find any other way to contact them. I'd love to be able to call customer support and ***** at someone who deserves it (at least more than you do, Gamble), but THERE'S NO DAMN NUMBER TO CALL.

So... just to make sure...

I don't think I had an EA account before, but I entered my email and password, then the redemption code, and it let me join the Cerberus Network (and download the Normandy crash site DLC). Am I good? There won't be any other problems?
