Ok so I am a noobie at the game still so if anyone could give some details awesome!!

i understand i need fayed touched onyx. I am about 9 hours in the game and do not understand how to get the fayed touched onyx, and once I do get it I am unsure what to do with it. Do I need certain perks? Is this a random drop from enemies? If anyone has seen a guide or could please give me some details would mean a lot to me :)

I am also trying to get Bleed on hit, I would imagine same question as above but with a different crafting material?

So.. you wan't to learn how to master craft..

It is really rather simple. There are three Fade touched metals that have give guard on hit.

Fade touched Onyx (2 guard on hit OR 10% chance for Chain lighting at 50% weapon damage)
Fade touched Obsidian (3 Guard on hit OR 10% chance for Chain lighting at 75% weapon damage)
Fade touched Silverite (5 guard on hit OR 10% chance for Chain lighting at 100% weapon damage)

To obtain the items, you can find them from the RNG loot chests or harvest them from the ores scattered about the worlds that you find in your travels.

In order to use them, you must be able to master craft. To master craft, you need the reach Skyhold and obtain the arcanist from the war table, again, only available after reaching Skyhold.

As to it's effect, it gives guard on hit. Use a staff, a sword, dagger, bow, stick it on some armor if you want. When ever you hit an enemy, you get guard regardless of your class. Comes in handy for 2H warriors or dual wielding rogues.

There are two bleed target effects, bleed target ON hit, or bleed target ON BEING hit.

The former is a chance effect dependent upon the percentage total from armor and weapon attributes, the latter, if a chance that occurs only whilst the enemy engages you in melee range.

To get bleed target on hit, you need one of the following materials:

T1 - Deepstalker Hide: Offensive slot: 1% chance to bleed target on hit
T1 - Dragonling scales: Offensive slot: 1% chance to bleed target on hit
T2 - Gurgut Webbing: Offensive slot: 1.5% chance to bleed target on hit
T2 - Phoenix scales: Offensive slot: 1.5% chance to bleed target on hit.
T2 - Varghest scales: Offensive slot: 1.5% chance to bleed target on hit.
T3 - Wyvern Scales: Offensive slot: 1.75% chance to bleed target on hit.
T3 - Hardenned Gurn Hide: Offensive slot: 1.75% chance to bleed target on hit
T4 - Dragon bone: Offensive slot: 2% chance to bleed target on hit

To obtain them, you must kill the creature it belongs to, or locate them in RNG loot chests.
