I like them all, it´s difficult to choose, but in general my nº1 is Cassandra, one of my favourite video game character, followed closely by Sera and Vivienne. But, as i said, all the companions are amazing

I like most of them except Sera (too immature and insubordinate) and Vivienne (too pretentious), but my favorite is Solas closely followed by Dorian and Cole.

What about Captain Fennic the Bold?  No one remembers him or his contribution?  He was my companion in almost every area!  Everywhere I ran through those immensely silent immensities there he was!  Loping along, sometimes right beside me, sometimes scampering off, but always there. 

 

Sometimes, though...  sometimes his temper would get the best of him and he'd go running straight into a fight and my team would just get sooooo confused and they'd all attack him because of his little fennic obscenities or furry body odor or something instead of the rift demons or the five hundredth bandit or Venatori and take all kinds of damage while they did it.  My favourite time was that big Red Templar berserker lumbering in to attack and Cass got so incensed she ignored that dude to wale on Cap'n Fennic until she almost died!  He really knew how to push their buttons, the little scamp!

 

But then, all would be forgiven and trudge, trudge, trudge into the endless quiet expanses we'd go and there he'd be again, ears flopping and chugging along... Captain Fennic would ride again. Sometimes, he'd bring a jackal or a wolf (he really likes wolves, he must know a friggin' hundred of 'em!) just for variety. He likes new people.

 

So yeah, I gotta write-in vote Cap'n Fennic.

 

Oh, and Cassandra too, I suppose. She's okay.

Cole > Cassandra > Solas > Dorian.

 

In that order Cole is definitely number 1. But Cassandra, Solas, and Dorian are all equal. I like all the companions except Vivienne, and I have a love/hate relationship with Sera.

So... I'mma go with Varric, mainly 'cause he was mein buddy in DA2 and even though he's toned down since then he's still a decent fellow. Dorian's cool too. The others range from 'okay' to 'need to be burned in righteous fire.'

Gotta give you props for this one - when you miss a point, you really go all out to make that obvious.

 

You even included a .gif from one of the most dreadfully cruddy 'comedies' of all time.  Just because I'm feeling charitable, I'm gonna pretend you meant that as a subtle poke and some irony.  It would, had you actual wit, make you almost appear clever.

Honestly, Cassandra was the only character I found genuinely interesting. I didn't care for Sera at all, and the rest were just okay. The advisors were more interesting than the companions, IMO.

Varric. I pretty much base my Templar/Mage choice on him so I don't ****** him off... and Wicked Grace! How could you not love that sequence! Plus his commentary about storytelling is spot on.

Heh, me too. There are moments when I just feel like facepalming when talking to her, but there also the ones when she cracks me up. 

 

Voted on Cole. Damn fascinating character arc, awesomely written.
