Also, look at Varric.  Oh, how the mighty have fallen.  He would easily have been Top 3 in DA 2.  Now he's bottom tier.  Is it because people are sick of him or is it that the new companions are just that much better than the DA2 companions?

My favorite is Cole, both because I really appreciate how kind he is, his character development/story is really amazing (I LOVE the final choice!) AND thanks to his mind-reading abilities he does an amazing job of fleshing out OTHER characters, particularly the ones that hate talking about their past.

No wonder first 2 are characters from DG (Dorian and Cassandra). He knows how to write an interesting character. Good to see Sera still number 4 if even with half votes of Dorian despite all the hate on BSN - amazing character! Solas surprised me - guess all love comes from the ending and reveal. And I feel sorry for Vivienne - such a promise, such a VA and... nothing Personally was waiting for a high-class Qara but got younger version of Winne.

I fell in love with Dorian so I fit him in my pocket and take him everywhere.  Had to romance him on another play through even though I usually play as a female character.

It was a tie between Cassandra and Dorian for me but in the end I chose Cassandra and the kudos really goes to the voice actress.  I expected to hate her and ended up loving her she is such a good role model.  She admits when she is wrong, she is willing to stand up for what is right, she is willing to put aside her own needs for the greater good, she ha a temper and gets mad and is mean and then feels bad later and apologizes she is the most human of all the companions and I love her for it.

I'm a fan of Dorian the first tevinter with pornstache who is also not trying to do some creepy, narcosatanic, orgious ritual to end the world... he's like the best pal I never had.

But Cassie is great in everything, she makes me laugh with the clash of her headstrong vs hopeless romantic personas, she's the most attractive girl in thedas (even with her chicken legs), she keeps my mage inquisitor safe and cozy in the field, has a cool collection of names, and serves as target of jokes from the other cool companions... I think I was sold the moment she said "You must command him to write it." I just cracked at that moment.

Blackwall. Cos I like beard. And it's great fun to mock him. His dialogue is so much better, when he despises you for being oh so dishonourable.

Hostile Blackwall isn't that fun to chat with since he refuses to speak with you... however, I like how the characters react to you depending on how much they like or dislike you.

Did you try to force him into the Inquisition/maintain his faked identity? He is deliciously grumpy afterwards.

 

Maybe I just prefer him for being the only one that recognised my Inquisitor as the Assquisitor I tried to play him as.

Not yet. Been watching so much streams, ain't allowed to play the game before Xmas. I only know about grumpy Blackwall through the evil playthrough CohhCarnage has been doing on twitch.
