I wouldn't hold your breath for better hair in any patch, update or DLC. QoL developments like that are never considered worth development resources....especially post release.

I can't think of a single major game thats ever had hair this bad, that then turned around and added better hairs to help smooth over the half ass job. There just aren't any, even Blizzard, who has more money than God, didn't ever create new hair for their model update, they just updated them to rig to the new models, and swapped a few hairs between races to give people more options.

Main stream developers don't consider hair a priority and they never have.

The Witcher 2. Just saying.

Something that's surprising is the 'banter party' bug is getting the most coverage on these forums.  If that was the severity of the bugs I had encountered, then I'd be happy.  Belts and rings not working, cut scenes going into limbo (not always able to skip out of it), npcs disappearing from Skyhold, Dragon counter not working, loss of audio during fights and so on are just some of the garbage I've come across. I can't even recall having this many issues with Skyrim when it was first released and that takes some doing.

I find it very difficult to believe none of the above issues came to light during testing etc.  If they didn't, i highly doubt the devs actually played the game they released.

Hope the patch will be released as early as possible on the 9th, due to timezone difference between here and wherever the devs are located.

I don't have problem hairstyles themselves.. except female qunari.. but the shiny bug seems to be pretty awful. They should fix it and textures this at least:

I hope they fix the gender bender issues. My human male rogue, while being a bit of a dandy, is getting very confused about his sexuality due to everyone referring to him as a her.

Yes, I'm very eager to start my playthrough, in fact I can't wait to see if they have fixed one of the most visible bugs: http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/ .

I'll believe it when it actually happens. Until then its just Bioware and EA blowing smoke.

Um squaw speak with straight tongue, Bioware pale-face speak with fork tongue.

Are you sure about the 2014 bit?

Haha! That's terrible.  But it did give me a good giggle. :)

Yeah and what will this patch do?  Vast majority of the problems PC players have with this game are UI problems or design flaws.  I don't see them being fixed anytime soon.  I would bet that the first patch is just some bugfixes.

Can't do that on consoles. Sadly consoles share same problem as PC's on low to medium graphics. Still, even my friend who plays with high settins including mesh as high as shiny hair. It should be fixed on patch for all gen.

Wait...this is a persistent problem on the old consoles? WTF...Oo

This can't be something that is "by design". Even on lower settings this should look "normal". This shine-effect is...just that: An effect. An additional texture. Must be a glitch after all and not something that comes natural with the graphic setting.

They have to patch the Cutscene/Wartable crashes. Otherwise there would be no point in the patch.

Yep it seems to be persistent from what I have heard. It seems to be bug where armor shine somehow travels to hairs, bears and even lips sometimes. It would be nice if it was patches away.

I agree the everyone in the game is having a bad hair day, and even if you set the meshes to high, the look is still all wrong, you go from shiny to Flat, bland, yucky.

Qunari males also have broken arms? I thought it is male elf only problem. http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/

It has more to do with the animations than their idle stance.  When using a warrior, their "Closing rift" animation outright breaks their arm in half.

When using bows, their arms get tangled up in weird positions and it makes your archer look like a ponce.

Deafult hairstyle wasn´t very popular to say the least, so they added hairdressers that allowed you to choose between six.
