Ummmm if the patch couldn't go through the console certification process, not sure thats a positive sign.

Nothing to worry about, the certification allways add around a month time. The firts time people didn't like auto attack after the DA2 demo it was patched day 1 on PC and it also took about a month for consoles.
I hope that doesn't mean that console patch will come after month.. the Christmas is coming too so I guess that would push it far to January D:

cause i've been playing about 20 hours or so and didn't have a single problem ... and tonight when i started the game ... i've had all sorts of issues from frame drops to not being able to talk to npc's to the game activating the tactical pause on its own at random times ( or at least that's what it looks like ) right down to the game simple crashing straight to win just 10 minutes ago ...
i'm always so afraid of patches ...
I'm mostly looking forward to whichever patch will fix the combat bugs. I'd like to finish my Warrior playthrough.

See THIS HERE makes me think there is clearly an issue with the Origin client and bandwidth times.
@smoking, can you try playing while logged out of Origin and see if the problems persist?
well ... i don't know about you but there is clearly a problem with origin. that's right off the bat with any kind of service like origin 
) ( steam included ) ..
i did make a switch to mantle earlier today when i started my session ... from directx. wanted to see if anything changes ( though the game runs incredibly well considering my machine, minor frame drops in cutscenes but in game it runs perfect, or it ran ) ...
anyway ... gave mantle a try and played for about an hour or so ... while it didn't do nothing for the cutscenes and i couldn't tell if the game ran better since it ran great before ... it did increase my load times ridiculously high ... at one point i smoked an entire cigarette while it loaded a damn inn in redcliff ( the first mission when you open up redcliff ).
after that i switched back to directx 11 and restarted the game ... oh ... and i also disabled all the online options i could in the game settings ( i had been meaning to do that for some time now since i noticed it messed with my game whenever it was loading stuff to the keep/origin ).
and when i started the game ... all of a sudden it felt sluggish and issues started happening and the rest ...
so ...
1: either the game is punishing me for disabling the online connection ( as much as i could anyway )
2: either the game is buggy because i opened up redcliff and for some reason some resource there messes with the entire game.
3: either mantle messed up the game somehow ... some setting or whatever left in the registry or i just can't figure it out .. i'm not that smart when it comes to this stuff ...
as for your suggestion ... i will give it a try though not sure you can play without origin ... i assume you meant offline mode.
Yea, offline mode. Via the main menu, accounts screen.
Oh man, I hope the Console's fix isn't a month out haha, I just got to that certain someone in the game, and then my CHARACTERS voice changed to british. I REALLY want to keep playing, but I don't want to use default or make my guy sound british all of a sudden.
I hope MS and BW can figure something out and address that so I can move on. On the bright side, I am clearing out the War table as I wait patiently and its piling up my playtime hah.

Knowing BioWare, Patch 1 will prioritize patching all the beneficial bugs like save scumming loot and the Power for a Price buying/selling trick. THEN they'll get to patching the actual bugs we don't like.
I guess it depends when then sent it for certification (Supposing they already did). I'm more glad I didn't preorder every week... Maybe the patch will be out before my interest for the game completely wanes.
PS4 had a patch ver 2.03 (last week I believe) from Sony that was intended to fix stability issues. Has anyone noticed any improvement?

I still have about 2% faith in the chance that there was an entire, *proper* PC UI designed and ready to implement, but because of time constraints they had to roll it up into the first patch, and thus did not have to do any work on it at all these past weeks.

WOW. I can't believe they would even put out something that looks that bad. They should have just canceled last gen rather than put out something that looks like that. Last gen really just needs to die. No one is going to make games tailored for last gen any longer, so everything is just going to be a port, and look like crap.

Yeah and what will this patch do? Vast majority of the problems PC players have with this game are UI problems or design flaws. I don't see them being fixed anytime soon. I would bet that the first patch is just some bugfixes.
It would be gr8 if that was the only annoyance I had, or if I had the opportunity to be annoyed by the UI. See, funny thing, I can't even launch the game without it crashing to desktop anymore. :^) Hoo boy, my good ol 8 hour playthrough.
The first patch SHOULD have "just some bugfixes" - y'know, the fixes that make the game I spent $70 on more than just a virtual brick on my SSD.

I play offline
I start the game with an internet connection because of DRM in Origins. Do have all game and Origins settings to OFF. Once in, I close all Internet connections. Also have Windows Auto Update turned off and Aero as well. <-- for performance purposes.
Prior to game exit I sometimes reactivate my Internet to sync my game data. Sometimes I don't.
I have not experienced any performance slow downs during game play. Have experienced some video cut scene stuttering but minor.

I feel genuine pity for anyone who still has to use a CRT monitor. The blurry picture, the flickering, the dark background lighting and the power consumption. The horror!
Modern LED tft monitors are so cheap these days. I'd wager that you can get one that beats the crap out of this CRT for under 100 us$ and maybe that's even too high.
