#1 issue for me right now is the pacing. It feels extremely slow in a bad way. Maybe I need to be skipping more side content, searching for resources less / not picking up every little thing but it's hard to tell what I need. I feel like I'm spending excessive amount of time meandering around doing little MMO style daily chore kind of stuff, but I need to do X amount of nothing to make sure I'm leveled and geared up but I'm not sure how much X is yet or what I can get away with skipping.

Exploration and collection can be fun in some games, but it goes better with more open gameplay and a self-directed player. It should not be an obstacle in the way of a linear story style progression kind of game.

#2 is the UI/ controls. They are really bad for PC. Inventory management especially is hell and I dread every visit to a vendor.

#3 is the awkward silence. As much meandering around large areas full of fetch quest type stuff as there is at least I could have some pleasant background music to make it a bit less dull. There's not a lot of sound and the world feels a bit dead in spite of the reasonably pleasant environments.

#4 is the combat. It gets really repetitive and there're too many repeat-encounters where you're basically just going through the motions bringing predictable packs of re-spawning mobs HP down to 0. This slows down the pace even more too. I also have quite a few nitpicks with the new combat system - I really don't like the move to healing potions and the revive system feels extremely silly. I beat the first "boss" demon guy with a hefty amount of revive spam and some running around a pillar with one character. :/

#5 is the AI options for my party, which is kind of an extension of 4. It's hard to get them to behave, and right now I'm doing almost everything manually. The game isn't very good at describing what few options there are, and there are just too few options relative to DA:O.

I really want to like the game and get into it. I'm sure the main content is good. But right now all this filler stuff is ruining it for me.

1. Yeah, skip the fetch quests. They don't give you all that much in the grand scheme of things. Leave the Hinterlands.

2. Eh, it's manageable once you get used to it.

3. Well known and unfortunate audio glitch, which also provides a lack of party banter. There's a really weird work around that works for some people.

4. I'd go back to point 1. Stop doing the fetch quests that bring you back through the same areas with the same areas. Leave the Hinterlands.

5. Yeah, I want my condition based tactics settings back...I'd recommend visiting the Combat & Strategy sub-forum to tips on how to "make due" with the tactics options we do have.
