First I need to figure out how to record gameplay. I think I'll treat myself to Fraps this Christmas, I think I can use that to record clips and put them into gif format.

 

Fraps is horrible at this point, you can get better results with MSI Afterburner (which is free) and NVidia/AMD have their own tools (Shadowplay / Game DVR) which use the hardware encoder in their cards to compress the video on the fly with a minimal performance impact.

 

If you have Nvidia just use Shadowplay, for AMD's solution you need the Raptr crapware so I prefer to stick to Afterburner (with VCE codec).
