My warden has a child with Morrigan so his romance did work out for him.
I really enjoyed the romances in this game, but...let's cut it out and be real here.

Well everyone is so damn busy after Inquisition.
They got stuff to do! Organizations to fix! Books to write! People to kill! Someone needs to find the 6 fingered man!
And you're stuck as the figure head of the Inquisition so it's inevitable to get separated.
At times work comes before love after all.

I don't know: Hawke/Anders and Warden/Morrigan work pretty great. Unless you had a Warden/Warden Alistair and Hawke/Romance and then went to Adamant...
But they don't _all_ get taken away. My Hawke/Anders headcanon looks pretty good... um... so far... (suddenly has a very bad feeling about this)
I do wish Shepard and Garrus had a reuniting scene at the end of that Red Ending, though.
(And, yes, got my heart broken in this game already. Oh, Solas, Solas...)

I'd rather see a new protagonist and new companions. It's partly the attraction of a clean slate and partly my preferring to play lower level characters, particularly when combat is prone to change so much between iterations.
Playing an established leader just interests me less than playing a new character as they figure out who they are. Also, it's nice to be able to look forward to the replacement of companions I've enjoyed less than others and/or more congenial romance offerings if none of a current crop really suits my character. And, even if I were to find myself delighted with all my companions, meeting new folks is fun.

I'd rather play this time around from the POV Tervinter. New LI and such. Now that would be something.
