I feel that multiplayer stole resources from our game. I think if the didn't waste anytime with it we wouldn't be lacking in so many aspects that would of made DA:I a 10/10 game. Can we make our voice heard and let Bioware know that we never want to see multiplayer again?
Dragon age 4 can we vote to never have multiplayer?>

While I haven't touched MP and don't see myself really doing it until after I finish another playthrough of SP, I don't really think it stole resources from the main game. From my understanding, there are separate budgets for different aspects of the game, and EA wanted MP, so it got a budget for that. I'm almost done with my first playthrough of DAI and while, sure, there are some bugs etc, I really don't see the whole 'lacking in so many aspects' that you and certain others are talking about. It's Bioware's first open world-y game, and they've done a great job.

I vote to keep MP. It's a fun way for me to keep in touch with my college friends since we live in different states now. I agree the SP could have been better but I don't think MP had much to do with it. I really enjoyed the SP campaign though.

Hate to break it to you bud but some people actually like the multiplayer. Also that's not how resources work. When a multiplayer mode was decided to be included, additional funds were allocated to develop it. If there was no MP those funds would not have been needed and therefore not allocated. And before you say "why didn't they just put that money into making a better SP?" because AAA game development budgeting is not that simple.

I have no interest in multiplayer, but since it's helped convince my BFF that she finally has to play a Dragon Age game, I can only applaud its inclusion. Hell, I might even play it with her, however hilariously terrible I might be without the pause function.

Different teams and different budgets so it didn't take away from anything.

Multiplayer is a cancer upon gaming.
It steals resources from single player in games where multiplayer has no place.
Seriously...is multiplayer needed in:
Dragon Age?
Mass Effect?
Tomb Raider?
etc...
But it's what happens when game design decisions are made in the board room and marketing department.

I'd be okay with the MP if 20Mb of upload were enough to play without massive lag, but apparently not.

Accidentally clicked multiplayer.
Saw cash shop.
Lost respect for Bioware (although likely demanded by the suits at EA)

So long as it doesn't become pay to win and it's built from a separate pool of resources that in no way interferes with the single player campaign, I honestly don't care anymore. I don't trust EA not to mess up and have them cross streams again like in ME3 where pre-patch there was NO WAY to get the survival ending without touching the multiplayer at least once, but there are people out there who would enjoy it. Who am I to say they can't have something like that to do together, so long as it doesn't stop Dragon Age from being the single player game we all love and enjoy?
I will say however that tacked on multiplayer can go die in a fire. What's even the point of it then?

I can take it or leave it so long as the single player campaign is not affected in any meaningful way. I can't speak for resources, since I know precisely jack squat about it, so I couldn't say where DA:I may fall short that not bothering with multiplayer could have possibly remedied. All I can say is that MP in this game is kind of meh. It's not as good as ME3's, and I don't even care for ME3's multiplayer either.

Normally, I don't care if there is a multiplayer aspect or not. I'm not likely to play this one. However, if I can't modify my single player experience because of restrictions to multiplayer, then that sucks and I don't want it.

I want to know where this fantasy that it came from a different resource pool came from?
1 publisher
1 dev
1 budget
(I don't care if they've lied somewhere and said it's separate)
I never said it did? That's just my stipulation for it. You set aside at the very beginning money for the multiplayer and the singleplayer, and the former may not dip into the latter at any point.

Why would the budget be the same without MP? By definition there'd be less revenue since the platinum sales go away.I want to know where this fantasy that it came from a different resource pool came from?

I think EA has a rule about every title having a MP option. I think they even had an announcement about it some years back.

I think that was under their old CEO, I haven't heard of the new one confirming he'd take that going forward though.

I find it funny how many people complain that MP steals resources from Single Player.
Multiplayer gets a completely separate budget and is built by a different team.
If MP wasn't included, it's not like they'd take those people and cram them into the single player team and have them work on that. They'd likely just get bumped to another project. Nor would they take the budget they had allotted for MP and shove that into single player.
In the end, MP is and will always be it's own entity.

There is MP in this game??...Never seen it, never plan on seeing it. May mess up and hit wrong button, but will Never hit it by choice.
If there were going to have it, they should have made it co-op single player, allowing you to bring in companions to a team to complete single player content. Anything else is mostly a waste in my opinion. IF you enjoy MP, good for you, but I mostly don't like most MP, too much min-maxing and bad sports.

They could at least allow it give some sort of reward or something to your single player game. The second team could've made another part of the single player game.
Either way, the multiplayer they have no just...feels wrong. A lame dungeon crawl. ME3's was very surprisingly good. Good maps, good loot, easy to understand skills/roles and best of all, seeing that percentage go up after every round gave a sense of progress. This though, adding crafting wasn't a good idea. Loot is some how confusing, despite being the same system, and no feeling of progress because we only get more multiplayer stuff.
