These quarries and logging stands are practically a secret. The guide has maps but otherwise, good luck. Check online for maps of each location and see if it has them listed. You don't need the perk if you find the maps. The perk is kind of helpful without maps but maps are so much easier. If you still have access to haven, there is a logging stand across the lake from where you are. Go to the right where the fighters are training and follow that path the the left to a house. If you get that search notification just go in the house and use it on the desk to the right back where there is a recipe for a potion which you can bring to the alchemist in haven.
Anyway, follow the path by the house under a wooden archway/fence and keep following it. I think it might vanish but ahead there will be a grove of trees to the right. Go into the grove and there is a logging stand site there. If you lose you direction look at the map and go to the part of the lake that is directly across from haven's town where you started. There is a pier. Use that as you start point and from the pier walk away from the water (and the town will be behind you as will the pier) and to the right is a grove of trees. Enter it to find the logging stand.
An easy quarry in storm coast is one you get to the long river just follow it inland and before you go into the cave search along the left side of the river bed but close to the rocky mountain. It's kind of near the cave so you shouldn't have to travel far back from the cave to find it. Just turn back when you get to the cave and move up to the right along that wall of rock or mountain and follow that back instead of using the riverbed. It's pretty easy to find but it won't be on the map. Just look for the yellow spire where you would put something for a landmark.
