Because I'm curious whether a lot of people would say "Qunari female", or whether many people would simply list an existing canon character (whether that be the one they are actually romancing, or...Harding), I pose to you this question:

If Bioware did specifically cater to you and your particular tastes, and you were asked what your absolute ideal romance option would be, what would your request primarily entail?

Brevity is encouraged. A post with paragraphs of fan-fiction about backstory or personality isn't going to have broad appeal.

Edit: character concept sketches are welcome, but for the sake of space, please spoiler tag the more massive walls of text.

My example:

I would like a Male Mage who is available to female humans (though not exclusively to female humans, of course) and who is not possessed, please.

Edit: This thread is not about wanting to change the love interest options for Inquisition, this is primarily about our hopes for future franchise installments, or even appreciation for which characters are already available.

Dwarven LIs is all I want.

Whether it's a male with glorious chest hair, or a female covered in freckles... not that I have any particular dwarves in mind.

... cough....

Bioware actually does a good job at the types of females I like. They're all different, but generally speaking, I like Jack, Ash, and Cass. Headstrong brunettes, I guess? Heh. They all kind of wear their heart on their sleeve, but strong at the same time.

Female dwarf, pretty please. As far as attitude goes, she can be as silly as Dagna, as lovely as Harding or as badass as Sigrun, I'd be happy. Oh, and also romancable to female characters.

I would like a dwarf. Not really concerned about sex or orientation. It's all good. JUST PLEASE LET ME SMOOCH THE DWARF FOR ONCE.

Ahem. It'd also be interesting to have a lady elf who is only into elves (of either sex?), since we haven't had that either.

Honestly, I don't trust my preferences.  Most of the LIs thus far, I never would've considered "my type," and yet I adore them.  Or maybe I'm just not picky, which doesn't say good things about me.  :P

Personality wise, I'd want someone who's bold, who isn't afraid of love, who is experienced and knows what she wants.

Physically I'd prefer a warrior, someone who's physically strong with an athletic body. Race doesn't matter much to me, though I'd like a qunari or dwarf female if only for a change of pace.

I love all three of those characters so much, it's almost hard to pick a favorite. Almost.

I'm rooting for Dagna.

Dagna for DA4 romance option...

Edit: Once she's matured a little, so it doesn't feel...off.

On the contrary, it shows that you're adaptable, and that you don't judge to quickly based on surface details. Those are good qualities.

A male dwarf warrior. Either a Legion of The Dead member or a deep roads vet. A long black ponytail, several scars. A beard, thicker than Varrics but not quite hanging from his face. Stoic and grumpy, but he occasionally has a dry sense of humor.

In regards to the Inquisitor? A female elven love interest for a male elven protagonist would have been different from the pairings of past games and the two available Andrastian love interests in this one, and it would have been interesting to explore.

He sounds like an interesting fellow.

I enjoy characters like Zevran or Solas. Clever, experienced, sassy, yet a bit distant (at least at first). I don't really care about the race.

I concur.

I'll agree with this too. I like the Andrastians myself, but this would have been a nice change of pace.

Not necessarily. I think looking forward is a good idea for this.

I've thought about how it's time for Male Elven characters to have a female Elven option. Past time, really.

My male Tabris kept the memory of the one that got away close to his heart through all of Origins.

I love my lecherous, amoral rogues. But really, anyone who is open minded and not particularly judgmental will do for me.

I like pairing Tabris with Leli (and Mahariel with Morrigan). Although female Tabris is way cooler.

But yeah, it's about time we had an elf/elf pairing (and dwarf as well).

Oh, I'd like a female qunari in the future, as well. Quite enjoyed my male qunari romance, so why not? Maybe one who is perhaps a bit more serious than IB in nature though, a tough and determined type.

As for male choices, at this point I don't feel like I have much of an opinion. I've enjoyed a male romance in every DA installation so far, but the only female LI available to other females I've really been able to enjoy has been Isabela.

I like darker characters, so someone like Blackwall. You can't really repeat his story, but I guess what I like is the idea of a flawed and imperfect man who tries to do good. That being said, I also don't mind the occasional lighter Alistair-style relationship. Also, he should be ripped - sorry, having a shallow moment here.

Your description made me think of the character Rasaan from the comics.

I could go for a female qunari who was something of a middle ground between Sten and Bull, myself.
