How close are they? I think incest technically only applies to immediate family and close cousins. Or something.

2.) even if he is right it is no where near close to be incest. too many generations have passed.

I haven't had an issue with any of the lovers in the DA series. I've loved them all- some more than others. But my main preference is for my man not be possessed, mind numbingly desperate for a therapist and completely tortured. I understand complicated lives and the drama that is inherently Thedas. If I recall, Dorian says that their familial connection dates back to the Steel Age, so that's at least 240 years between them. With that kind of distance, there's essentially no real genetic ties between you.

so to stay on topic. a few ideas for me.

 

1.) an avvar priest/preistess/scholar

2.) a member from a character's feuding family background. For instance I like Nathanial Howe as a character, but I think for a human noble character as much as I love alistair a romance between the two nobles would have been more interesting especially if he joined your party in origins.

This thread took an interesting turn, haha. Um, for more on track things, romance-wise, some of my favorites have been: Morrigan (I loved the taming of the shrew aspect about her, the initial tragedy and how rewarding Witch Hunt felt when it finally came out.) Fenris, and Iron Bull because I believe he's the first L.I. we've gotten with no drama. That would be nice to see more of in the future.
