The NWN1 file format documentation apparently resided at http://nwn.bioware.com/developers.  Its not there any more, and everything I've googled for so far points to it.

Anyone know where to find it?  I'm interested in 100% coverage of two very large modules, and I don't know that leto/moneo does that (probaly does, but who knows).  Plus I'm interested in writing my own code to parse the modules, and the double check on formats would be good.

Thanks!

Is this what you are looking for? I have also converted the separate files into a single TreeDBNotes 4 document which I can post onto the new vault if anyone's interested. When I was converting these I came across something that made me think that either the Bioware person who came up with the names was either ignorant of the meaning of a particular word in british culture or they had a schoolchild's toilet sense of humour. The full name of the file type is "Temporary User Related Data" which sounds fine until you realise that the acronym is T U R D (spaced to defeat nanny filter). In case you don't know the vernacular meaning of that word, here is a link to the Oxford English Dictionary's definition.

Sure, it might help me process the info better.  If I can process TreeDBNotes 4, that is. 8)

Before I do that take a look here at an article I posted on the new vault. Then if you are still interested go here for either the standalone reader or the free editor/reader and let me know and I will then upload my file to the vault. Please be aware that there is also a paid for version - you will want the free one.

I'm not sure yet if I want to do development on windows, I'm much more facile on Linux or MacOSX.  So let me hold off a little bit.

After having some serious qualms about making my NWN development environment too complicated by having MacOS, Linux, and Windows components, it occurs to me that I *need* windows to run and evaluate current software.  So, I will run windows, and be able to run TreeDBNotes 4. so yes please post your stuff if it isn't too much of a hassle.

Thanks!

Uploaded to the new vault. In order to reduce thread duplication, I have announced (with direct link to file) this in this new thread.

Hope this helps.
