When it comes to the general SHAPES of each feature (eye, nose, head, shape, and mouthshape etc.) there is a little trick that modifies the shape even further by using the O(circle) or B button.

Simply select a particular shape, I suggest one that isn't exactly what you want but atleast close to it or pick whatever you want cuz it will change anyway. What I mean is that by pressing X or A to open the slider and by pressing X or A once you find a shape then select it an close the slider. You can then press X or A (depending on console. Idk the controls for PC but imagine it would work) again to open the slider once more and select a completely different shape BUT by moving the slider over to that shape and pressing O or B. Atleast for me the two shapes will conform/combine into one shape. Headshape that yu initially selcet and headshape you select with the back button will combine to form a distinct shape.

Ive probably explained this very poorly and I apologieze. If you don't understand then please reply and ill try to be more articulate. Also idk if this works for everyone or if it will carry over into the actual game and remain as such but so far t has for me. I have a PS4.

Basically there seems to be double the amount of headshapes or general feature shapes. If its a glitch please don't "fix" it but rather integrate it into the games customization engine so to speak.

Wow. Weird. Need to try this. Because I'm not a fan of some headshapes.

I'm on XOne. Hope it works.

This sounds interesting. Admittedly though I couldn't understand how you got it to work exactly.  Think you could get it on video?

It just happened. For example. I clicked on head shape (which opens the slider) then I choose the 4th headshape from the left I believe by pressing select and closing the slider. Then I would reopen the slider and moved it to the second headshape selection (the 4th is a broader headshape and the 2nd is very triangular with big cheekbones) but instead of pressing select I pressed back an my headshape suddenly changed to a combination of both selections.

Pure accident. But I tested it on every other general shape and got the same result. Again, could be a glitch but thats one hell of a glitch as it seems like a legit feature perhaps taken out for god know why but still remained in the coding or something but ive been able to get some really good character faces out of it.

Sorry im not even sure how to get video. I do have a PS4 and my tag is DeadJester88 and although I haven't messed around with all the sharing content capabilities yet I'll figure it out once I get a Mic. As far as content sharing thru my Laptop and PS4 all I know I that it requires something valled a capture card and probably a universal cable of some sort. Shoot me a friend request and a message that says "Hi Im from Bioware/Keep forums."

P.S. Does anyone remember "The Godfather" game made by EA for the PS2 that featured, IMO, the most robust editor ever. Period. It was like molding virtual clay and it wasn't even tedious or time consuming like todays editors (Dark Souls being the worst IMO. No matter what I always got the same looking face BUT if I tried to make it look different I'd get something deformed so I never messed around with it and actually wrote down the specs as best I could beause I created as many characters as it allowed you in that game/s) I got my character in The Godfather game to look like Benicio Del Toro (even tho I was going for an Al Pacino crossed with De Niro) it came out exactly like a young Benicio Del toro. And Benny Toro has a badass face. Im no queer but, ay, I think ya know what im sayin here chief. (don't be offended im not gay bashing anyone as DA seems to lean towards the gay community leaving them with the most romance options which I AM OFFENDED by.. not really but still, it would be cool ifyou could romance ANYONE that was a NPC or semi important NPC that way you're not banging you're advisors and combat companions on the side like some kind of President of the United States)

Also you might notice (back on Dragon Age inquis. now) that character faces are graphically superior in the creation menu, or atleast the resolution seems superior and then when you see your character in game in cutscene or real time there might be subtle details that you didn't intend for. Like the eyes might be biger then what they looked like while creating the face or the nose might be further from the mouth than you perceived. Ive noticed this with ALL games that feature deep facial customization.

My favorite character customization system (Not the best in terms of possibilities) is from Dragons Dogma:Dark Arisen. It has like 50 headshapes and 30 to 50 basic feature shapes each one can be further customized by 4 additional sliders depending on the feature in question. each slider simplified with only 5 to 7 degrees on each slider. This gives you a ton of options without bogging you down or overwhelming you when you just want to create a good character abd aren't worried about making it look exactly like yourself. I try to make my characters look unique but usually inspired by other characters from games, movies, etc.

I got it to work, but on second thought, more features is just complicating an already complicated CC. :P

But it's nice to know I can do this.

Basically what you do is (for face shape) select a face shape and confirm it. You will then have to re-open the face shape menu again, and while you are changing through the other face shapes you need to cancel/close the selection (B/O button on console).

This will then combine the original face shape with the one you closed/cancelled...which can also make your characters face look like an abomination (most of the time anyway).

The guy above explains it better than I did but yup im glad to see its working for most. You can cancel out the effect simply by moving the slider all the way to the final or first option. Maybe move it all the way to both to be safe and then start over. Ive even got it to combine it two or three times by doing it once then moving the slider to another shape and pressing the back button again. It can even get all distorte dark souls style (if ya know what I mean) but it can be cancelled out as I explained and redone.

It doesn't make any other feature look abominable and if you combine two vey different faces like the squished hea face and the fat head face it will get weird.

Yeah, this is a bug in the CC. It will retain the settings of a face shape selection while you're browsing even if you don't ultimately choose it. So you can apply a selection over a selection so to speak by browsing to it then cancelling out with the back button. Until it spirals out of control and you end up with a horrific mutant.

The same can actually happen with the eyes and mouth sometimes too. With somewhat horrifying results.
