We also see a Templar who joined the Inquisition wear one with a lion head on the chest plate
Lysette!
Homegirl knows what's up, she can definitely get with Knight-Commander Barris' new and reformed Order.

I wanted to ask her about my warden, sadly she leave soo soon, and after her cameo, I feel no need to continue a mage playthrough
Same here.
Also would've been interesting if instead of gathering Orlesian noble support to go meet the templars you could get Ferelden royalty.
If the mages are recruited, the red templars aren't actually attacking Haven.
They're fleeing from Ser Barris.

Two things popped in my head when I saw her:
1. Why is she the only one with that armor
2. Why the hell did the Lord Seeker wear Templar armor lol
Yay a thread for my favorite new side character ![]()
Barris is ![]()
*returns next game or expansion because he got away*
You're both right.
And if Bioware can retcon Anders into surviving or Cullen not becoming a crazed serial killer, then Ser Barris should survive no matter what!
Ser Barris is hands down the best side character in DAI, and the fact that he's voiced by Mark Healy who voice for Roche make it even better. ![]()

Something that is bothering me about the lord seeker rank.
So are they both the leader of the seekers and templars? Despite them being two different groups? Shouldn't the templars have their own leader, like a "grandmaster" or something.

Have fun not seeing that now. ![]()
I'll pitch in and say that Ser Barris is a stone-cold badass and an inspiration for the next generation of Templars. I was feeling pretty apprehensive when I chose to recruit the Templars and not the mages. I ran the numbers and it made more sense to go for them, but I've always supported the mages in the past. I had noticed his hesitancy in the altercation in Val Royeaux, and was hoping I could convince him to see reason. Still, I walked into Therinfall Redoubt with the distinct feeling that I had made a mistake.
Man, was I wrong! That mission was a whirlwind! Sudden betrayal, ominous foreshadowings, demonic mind games, unlikely allies, it had everything. I'm not usually a fan of timed missions, but it was epic racing around Skyhold finding lyrium and loyal Templars while Barris and his brothers made a last, desperate stand against Demons, Red Templars, and all else Corypheus sent against them. I didn't even know Barris could die, but fortunately I returned enough times to keep him on his feet. It was coming down to the wire when him and his fellows hit that barrier like the fist of the Maker and cleared a path for me to put down the Envy demon, once and for all.
Even after that, I was consistently impressed with how he handled the various missions I sent him on. I'm not sure what happens if you send the wrong advisor, but for me at least, Ser Barris knew when to drop the hammer and when to stop and listen. Over time, he acquired quite a service record, and I was genuinely glad to see him promoted to overall commander.
So all that's to say, guy needs a sequel. Loghain got a big part in Inquisition, and he has to cheat death twice to be there. Why should Ser Barris be any different in DA4?

Templars technically do have their own leader which is weird that we never saw them

I can get behind this. ![]()
Currently writing a small fanfiction. Albeit it's not anything great. But I wanted too try it out.
I love this guy.

Don't ruin it dammit. Roche overshadows Jory by a mile. ![]()

They do? What's the rank called?
Hope it is Grandmaster
Mostly because "Ser Delrin Barris, Grandmaster of the Templar order" has a nice ring to it.

One is called Knight Vigilant and the other is supposedly called Knight Divine

The Knight Vigilant gets murdered by Envy. What about the Knight Divine? Killed at conclave?

Eaten by a dragon apparently, because I looted his armour after killing one... :S

If the Knight Divine truly exists then they most likely died at the conclave since they personally service the Divine herself
Thanks for the tip on keeping him alive! ![]()

You fnd the body of the Knight Vigilant during Champions of the Just.

Cassandra mentions the Knight Divine....though I can't remember where. She mentioned it during my playthrough.

Isn't it kind of weird that we know next to nothing about the leader of the Order ? They're a pretty huge part of lore.
