I Just started playing and went City Elf Warrior. Can't find how to use it either... Maybe it's class dependent? Anyways, I'll keep on trying, It's driving me nuts too!

As I said in that thread, I THINK it can be used to poison the guards assuming you didn't already get the rat poison. If so, it most likely only knocks them out, since otherwise there'd be no point in having two poison items.

Your absolutely right, both the rat poison or the Cleanser will do the trick. I tried only picking up the Cleanser and Brandy and got the poison prompt.
