Taking for granted the future patch that hopefully settle the game in many of its parts, would you pay for an improved edition of the game maybe a year from now?

Where perhaps there may be new opportunities for choices of gameplay, an addition of dialogues, new spells, new classes, new romance, new quests.

The work done on the DAI does not deserve support for at least another year and a half, to make it a memorable game for Bioware?

Assuming for a new Dragon Age we should wait at least another 4-5 years, if not more so given that there will also be the new Mass Effect in the meantime.

What do you think ???

Your'e joking. yes?

Let's see. You are asking me to buy a big bag of chips only to find out that when I open it, it's half filled with air. The you are suggesting that I buy another big bag of chips telling me it's actually full of chips.

Am I reading you right?

Were ppl brainwashed by EA or something. After the game was out i looked in the forum and saw more and more "make X dlc" as time went on. And now this..

Stop throwing money at them. Stop giving them ideas. If the game lacks something add it for free as it should have been there in the first place. CDPR gets it.

Agreed 100% But be prepared for the "you're an entitled whiner" brigade to pop up, and take shots at you.

As for the OP, no chance if am honest, this bugfest game has left a very sour taste in my mount, regarding Dragon Age in general and Bioware as well. Really don't think i'll be buying much more, if anything from them in future.

Just wait!  Dragon Age: Origins: Enhanced.

So enhanced you won't even need that pesky tactics menu (because it won't exist).

So enhanced you'll need a controller to play it (because PC controls/UI will be terrible).

So enhanced you'll swear you were playing DA:I.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo

Enhanced graphic, more story, more cinematics, enhanced areas ( a little larger), better sound, combat leaning more towards DA2 but keeping the great tactical feel.  You know, that sort of stuff.  No, I would not like to see it become a FTP offline MMO.   :)

A few more characters to romance.

They can call me princess McCrybaby if they want, this game was made with promises that were complete bull with trailers that gave false information and demos with content that is not even in the game but boy do ppl wish it was!
A game lacking features and quality and to my dismay i see ppl asking if it would be a good idea if they made a dlc to add missing things or make an enhanced edition.

I once ordered online a box of coke, 6 bottles. The box had 4. I didnt write a nice email to the store saying it would be nice if i could buy 2 more bottles, i called them and asked wheres the missing stuff i was promissed. You know what happened? Got it with no extra charge :0

Things were promissed. Things were cut out. The price didnt change tho..

Dude, you have to understand that digital content isn't real, and as such it's silly to think that consumers should have the same rights as people buying physical goods.

theres lots of things you pay for that arent phisically reall yet you keep your consumer rights. because you are a consumer. you pay real money.

besides you miss my point being that the digital content ppl want splits into 3 categories: 1) patches. 2) new content and features DLC. 3) expensions/ overhauls (enhanced edition).

number 1 is free for obvious reasons. number 2 might be debatable depending on its type but as i said earlier, this game is lacking in some areas and has content that was cut out due to time issues. ppl asking for stuff that should be there in the first place should ask it for FREE. you payed for a game. its a physical product. a REAL product. if you didnt buy a physical copy and just downloaded it from origin it still means its a real product. so in a way you ask to buy a thing that would be added to the product you own and that should have been part of it all along. i know i suck at explaining my line of thought most of the time but surely ppl can understand this notion, right? you dont have to provide them with excuses to do as they wish and keep milking your wallet.

lastly, number 3... the only type of DLC i would pay money on would be an expansion. unless you have a game that has its story cut in the middle and the ending is in an expansion, ofc.. why support that sort of thing?

but paying for a re-release of a game that fixes all of the issues it had in the first place? come on.. give it for free to the ppl who payed for the original.

I want to point out to those who had forgotten that Dragon Age Inquisition is a huge game.

150 hours and most of the game, an impressive amount of dialogue, a graphics engine ever used before by Bioware ... etc. etc.

Now taking into account the patch that settle definitely many things, I'm wondering if there are people that just to see this game in all its forms and components would pay or not (obviously not at full price).

I talk to people Bioware that can support the game for at least another year  (new dialogues, quests, maps, important choices of play, weapons, accommodation inventory, combat, magic etc.etc. )

Baldur's Gate also has an Enhanced Edition, and despite the past 20 years there are people who have spent money to be able to play.

Because after I finished The Witcher came to my mind to finish it again by making different choices in its edition improved?

Strange, because I bought the game again in a collector edition that was not there before at a reduced price. ;)

You think that chair you're sitting in, or that keyboard you are typing on, are more real than the digital content you refer to? Why, because you perceive it with your sense of touch?

"The game updates, as well as the box's extras, are available as a free download for owners of the original version who registered their game on the official forum. Furthermore, old savegames are compatible with the Enhanced Edition."

What did you pay for exactly, apart from the physical box and map thing?

Sorry im havi g trouble understanding. The quote says all the box's extras that come with it are available to download for free to anyone who owned the original game. Are we talking about an enhanced-enhanced version that has content only available to ppl who payed for it? I think music and ect stuff are downloadable as stated earlier. I own the game so im talking from personal experience but it was a long time ago so maybe my memory is a bit off

Well said. Next step of wallet draining was making the game unable to be modded in any sort of way. Is frostbite 3 that mod - unfriendly ? Well, I don't know since I'm not a developer, but it surely prevents people from creating free extensions and puts emphasis on paid add- ons.

CDPR is a shining example of how the players should be treated and nobody can deny it. Completely off top, they gained my respect also by expecting payment for my pre - order like 2 weeks before the release- so after we actually know W3 requirements and we know for sure we want to pay etc...that's an attitude.Hats off.

There are two possibilities:

1) will come out two / three patches and the game will remain as it is.
2) the game will be supported and expanded with DLC and the like, and will perhaps even an Enhanced Edition (fee)..

Of the two possibilities I would much prefer the latter to the former.
But from what I read for many the game is not good, so it's okay some patches and the end of Dragon Age until the next game in the series.

What in Inquisition would they enhance?  After all, it's already is a modern game.

No. CDPR can do it without charging extra. So Bioware should be able to do it as well.

Additionally, I will not be paying extra money for a full version of a game. I paid that money all upfront already.

Seriously, the video gamer demographic is one of the most unintelligent and most standard lacking of the consumer demographic out there.

No sane automobile buyer will go and pay full price for a car with flawed transmission and flawed suspension systems and then pay extra to get the very same car with those fixes but they have to keep the original junk....Such automobile buyer would be regarded as a fool...

No sane apparel buyer will go and pay full price for a nice suit of clothes with missing buttons and dysfunctional zipper and then pay extra to get that very same suit of clothes again...Such a buyer would be regarded as a naive consumer...

However,

A gamer will happily go out and spend top dollar to pay full price for an unfinished game riddled with bugs, essentially turning into a non-consensual beta tester, and then willingly pay extra to get that very same game again with all the fixes but they have to keep the original broken one....

I mean, sure, your money your choice but the gaming demographic is definitely not the most consumer-smart buyer out there...Small wonder developers and publishers in this industry can get away with practices they would never be able to in another industry...
