Console command is grave key on PC which is dangerously near button 1

 

I accidentally pressed it several time but I can't seem to terminate console even when not typing

 

press enter did noting nor did press grave again.

 

 

Is there a trick?

This happened to me a couple of times... but I don't remember if I was able to exit by pressing "Esc" key or the one before key "1"

As far as I've tried, pressing it again should clear the screen. Perhaps try typing a command in first (like "list") the hitting the key again. Otherwise you may have to close down the application from the task manager.
