I just posted in the 'which companion will return' thread that I really think Harding was meant to test the waters of a dwarf romance and, now that she's been received really well, she'll be back as a companion and LI in DA4.  I just feel it in my old bones.

She's a pretty female dwarf who has a pleasant personality but also proves herself to be a capable archer.  I think the fact that she's only the second female dwarf of significance (third, if you count Branka, I guess) makes her notable.  Add to it the fact that you can flirt with her and there are a ton of people clamoring for dwarf romances, and that's the reason why people are obsessed with her.

She's sweet, caring, attractive and one of the only few who asks the Inquisitor at times how he's feeling. Also she's a dwarf, and dwarves are awesome.

Seems like sexual harassment to me. The inquisition needs an HR department. This is not ok. 

 

Oh, come on. I can see how you might think that from some of the flirtations themselves, but now? After seeing that clip? She's inviting the Inquisitor on a date herself!

I doubt the plot of any game is going to put Harding at its center like Mass Effect did with Liara. The only thing these two characters have in common is the voice actress

BTW, does anyone know if this can happen for female Inquisitors or human/elf/qunari Inquisitors?  Just trying to figure it out for when she makes her inevitable return for DA 4.   Straight male, dwarf-only romance?

Scout Harding responds positively for the female human Inquisitor. I don't know about Qunari, but certainly for humans.

Gaider had said it would be disgusting to have sex scenes with dwarves. But Josephine romance scene proved that non-sex-scenes romances can do well. So yes, dwarf romance is possible now.

Haven't finished an entire playthrough yet (now my keep info is being acknowledged by the game, yay!)  but femElf quizzy gets positive responses.

I'd be up for a patch or DLC that unlocks Harding as a Dwarf gated romance.

 

It'd make me roll a Dwarf.

 

Another way to get me to roll a Dwarf would be to give them a Scottish accent.

Harding, and the way Vivienne's "Any chance the two of us might get together"-dialogue option stays open for a long while almost make me think we might get something like this.

Maybe like a general "more stuff to do with your companions"-DLC? Like Citadel DLC, but more integrated into the main game.

I wish we could have talked to Harding more. I ways went and talked to her outside the tavern, but she always ended up saying the same things.
