One of my favorite lines of hers is if you ask her what's new, she might say "Leliana said hello to me. I think she's going to have me killed."

She also mentions that Josephine sends her flowers. In a giddy voice.

I think they set this up on purpose to become a DLC romance later if people responded positively. Sort of like Kelly in Mass Effect. I'm sure Harding will get some attention later, if only because once you lock in a romance you lose your flirt options with her.

I just hope that unlike Kelly, 90% of potential future content doesn't end up on the cutting room floor.

And here's to hoping she's not reduced to dancing.

Or is this that weird BSN belief that an awkward sex scene is required rearing its head again?

It's not the lack of sex scene - there isn't one for Josephine or Solas either. It's the fact that you don't get any cut scenes or get to formally commit to a relationship with her.

(She also doesn't give the romance achievement but I don't personally consider that relevant.)

First Sigrun, now Harding?!  Bioware, why are you taunting me with adorable dwarf ladies?  Ah, you forbidden fruit, you...

You're overlooking the fact that people have been idiotically claiming there's "no romance scene" in the Josephine romance because there isn't a sex scene.

Well Kelly was just about the dullest character in Bioware history...so I'm pretty glad it stayed there.

So, Scout Harding for bisexual LI for all races (except maybe qunari)?

Honestly, just 'promotion to party member, with banters' would be something I'd pay for.

She comes across as a skilled, hyper-competent character ... half (or more) of our companions have issues torn from the tabloids, making another well adjusted competent party member of interest to me.

I love Scout Harding. I have always liked Dwarves in fantasy games and Harding is just the best.

She is pretty, cute, deadly and adorable way more than any of the other females on the Inquisition team.

Bioware needs to put a Harding romance. I am tired of human female as straight male romance options at this point. We only had Merrill as the non human female romance option. Now we need Harding as well.

Hard in Harding DLC. I will definitely buy it .

As much as I would love a dwarf romance, I wouldnt be happy with Harding. Yeah she is cute but they never really explored her character, I dont see what all the fuss is about.

This is one critique of the straight male romances that I support 100%.  It's kind of crazy how human-centric they have been on this one.

Straight males - 83% human; 17% elf (5 humans, 1 elf; 6 total)

Straight females - 56% human; 33% elf; 11% qunari (5 humans, 3 elves, 1 qunari; 9 total)

Gay males - 40% human; 40% elf; 10% qunari (2 humans, 2 elves, 1 qunari; 5 total)

Lesbians -  60% human; 40% elf (3 humans, 2 elves; 5 total)

A bisexual female dwarf like Harding would even out some of those numbers a bit.

Next chapter of Shields and Swords? I think Varric would agree. Remember when he asks her if she's been to Kirkwall?

But yes, more Harding would be awesome.

I just posted in the 'which companion will return' thread that I really think Harding was meant to test the waters of a dwarf romance and, now that she's been received really well, she'll be back as a companion and LI in DA4.  I just feel it in my old bones.

She probably will be, and I'm glad we might be getting a dwarf LI. But I really wish it was someone from Orzammar. Hardings cute and I like her. But another surface dwarf is just kind of boring.as a companion.

I don't think many Orzammar dwarves want to leave their caste behind. Besides, some of the dwarves are still afraid of the sky. Now I wouldn't reject a Kal-Sharok dwarf.

Those three words answer your question. Plus she has fairly good voice actress too.

That's the thing though. Wouldn't you find a deep roads vet who had been exiled or some such to be fascinating ? We've never really seen a proper warrior from Orzammar as a companion. There was Oghren. but Oghren was an old drunk.

I don't know, there's just so much more potential there to me than a surfacer romance.

Which is why, as much as I love Harding, I really want a Legion of the Dead warrior to be our dwarf LI.  Make him bisexual as well, so we can finally get an honor-bound warrior type for m/m romances too.

Hell, put them both in.  Bisexual dwarves for everyone in DA4!

I don't really want Harding in DA4, mostly because I see that game taking place around Tevinter and would prefer it having an almost entirely new cast. Harding is tied to the Inquisition and the South, and I'd rather she stayed there.

I'd love for her to have a more prominent role in future DLC though, perhaps even as a playable companion in a future expansion. Origins had one and DA2 was originally going to have one, so it's certainly possible.

I meant that's why she's popular. Don't have to be a deep character to be seen as attractive.

Am I the only one that was seriously disappointed by the LI choices in this DA? As a heterosexual male, I play a heterosexual male character on my first playthorugh almost always. I was totally put off by the fact that you have to choose between Cassandra, the hard-exterior typical "brute" female character and Josephine, the rich upper-class snob, if you are trying to pursue a heterosexual male LI. Literally nothing in the middle to choose from. It seems other sexual orientations are more fleshed out in terms of their options, which is awesome for the LGBT community, but kinda left me feeling a bit out in the cold. I plan on playing through a couple more times, but still I was surprised by the lack of choices.

It feels like Harding should have been that 3rd option for people who found Cassandra and Josephine not to their liking. It is RIDICULOUS that they left the flirt options in the game for her and you can't have it amount to anything. I purposely stopped engaging the other characters in hopes it would change that outcome but it had the same result.

I don't understand the decision to leave her in with all the flirt options intact yet not allow the romance to happen. It stinks of last minute gameplay changes and I'd love to understand why it was removed if that is truly what happened. If they are going to release her as a party member and LI in a DLC then that is fine, but why leave the prompts for her to say they will talk after the war and then have nothing come of it in the first place? They should have left it out entirely.

I love how when people whine about Cassandra, they always do so in a manner that makes it clear they've never even talked to her.

Give Cassandra a change and I promise that you will like how the character arc develops. I wouldn't describe Josey as snobby at all, but she wasn't my cup of tea,  :P . I suggest you try Dorian out. He comes with all the feels and wits that you need in a relationship. He's the total package.  :D
