In Origins we are told that Wardens must kill the archdemon because two souls cannot occupy the same body - both are destroyed in the attempt (unlike darkspawn who are soulless so can be possessed by the archdemon).

Then we are told that Corypheus can possess the living body of a Warden and not only survive but reshape the Warden's body to suit himself. (Isn't he a tainted human/darkspawn?)

But Flemeth tells us that no soul can be possessed, shared, taken over, (whatever) unwillingly.

So, does this mean that a Warden who is under an evil spell taking away his/her free will can be possessed?  What about consent?

And whatever happened to the idea that two souls cannot occupy the same body?

Did Flemeth lie?

Do the Wardens have it wrong?

Is Morrigan now the equivalent of a Bene Gesserit witch?

What about the Flemeth/Mythal combo?

How about Anders/Justice?

Just what is going on with souls and spirits in Thedas?  Inquiring minds are dazed and confused here.

I guess the Old Gods souls really doesn't like sharing a body hence it explodes

But the wardens' souls don't realize they're being overtaken

It's likely that Flemmeth saying that she can't take over another person's body without consent is for un-Tainted souls. Those with the Blight are probably different since Archedemons/The Architect/Corypheus can command lesser Blighted creatures. That means they can probably force them to consent. As for how Corypheus can posses Wardens whereas the Archedemon can't, I have no clue.

As for the whole no 2 spirits can occupy the same body thing, there's probably a distinction between souls and (Fade) spirits.
