I still have to wait a couple of days to get my copy, but I'd like to know one thing.

If I were to play through ME2 once and then start a new game by importing that character's save (this is possible, right?), does it reset all storyline choices, relationships etc.? So if I'm not happy with the way a romance went, or I got someone killed I can start over with the exact same character, except with a clean slate? 

I want everything to be perfect for my save(s) that I'll eventually carry over to ME3.

i dont have the game but i think that everything countinues over(storyline wise)

You start a NEW game. How can your choices carry over if most of the main quest is recruiting people and making choices?
How can you kill the collectors again if they're already dead?
It will be the same as in ME1
But, your ME1 choices stay the same

You can restart levels, so if something goes down wrong, you can actually go into your auto-saves and access a previous chapter to branch off.
