Wait, I thought OpenAL was a Creative/SoundBlaster thing?
I thought that was why I couldn't get surround sound in the first Mass Effect for PC (I use my Radeon 5850 HDMI out for sound)? Is there still hope, since ME2 uses it?

That didnt fix the stuttter, it appears its game code related not sound related. looking into the issue.I do have a newer version of OpenAL installed in the Windows folder. I have renamed the OpenAL32.dll and wrap_oal.dll files in the /ME2/binaries folder so that the newest version of OpenAL is being used. Maybe this would help?
