OK, I'm sure there's probably been a thread like this before, but my search-fu is weak and has failed to unearth it.  Can we use this one to speculate about our favorite (and not-so-favorite  ) characters' ages? 

 

I'll start:  Cullen.  Based on the fact that he was still a relatively-junior Templar in DA:O, I'd put him in his early-to-mid 20s at the time of the Fifth Blight, which would make him early-to-mid 30s at the time of DA:I.  I'm not sure his age is ever specifically stated anywhere, though--at least I haven't seen it.

 

Also, Leliana.  I vaguely remember seeing something on the old forums that put her age at the time of the Fifth Blight at 31 which, if true, would make her 41 during DA:I.  Of course, I could be misremembering that--probably that's a function of my age!

A lot of the early age numbers given for DAO companions was incorrect, based off of early drafts for the characters. Alistair was initially listed at being around 30-32, but was later confirmed to be 20. 

 

As for the other companions, Varric's 39-40, Bull and Cassandra are in their late thirties, Blackwall and Solas are in their forties

, Sera's in her early twenties. I'd peg Dorian at being in his late twenties to thirty at the oldest, were I to guess.

Cass: late 30's.

Josie: early 30's?

 

So those last few were totally guesses, but I know a few of the ones I listed were confirmed, if I even got them correct. xD

I know the toolset said Leliana was about 26 in Origins -- though that's not exactly the most reliable source, lol. I'd say she's probably in her mid to late thirties by now. Cullen's in his early-mid 30s based on his new recruityness in DAO. Cass I think was very young in DotS, about 18-20, so she's probably in her late thirties/early forties by now. I'd put Bull in the same age range, but it's kind of hard to tell with all the scars and qunariness.

Solas is in his early-mid forties () according to Weekes. I think Blackwall is in his mid-forties, too. And Varric is exactly 40.

I think Josie was stated to be in her mid to late twenties, and I'm guessing Sera's in her early twenties. I'd say Dorian is somewhere between 28 and 32, but I honestly don't know. I'd say Viv is about 30.

I'd put Vivienne closer to forty, probably over forty. A good looking forty, to be sure, but still.

 

I think the best guess with Cassandra is 36-38. If we assume she wasn't made a full Seeker until she was 18(Cullen says Templars don't take on full responsibilities until 18, and that's all we have to go on), she says the events of Dawn of the Seaker were 18-20 years ago and that she was fresh out of training at the time.

Vivienne struck me as slightly older than someone in her 30s, but that could just be a function of the way she speaks.  Or maybe that's just wishful thinking because I'd like there to be a character around my own age (late 40s)!

Those are all good estimations of the ages.  I like the fact that DA has adults of varying ages on not just a bunch of kids in the late teens and early 20's like other RPG's.

 

I think it's harder to pin down the age of the Inquisitor, depending on his/her race and gender.  Although I would find it hard to imagine an Inquisitor under 30 or 35.

Personally I estimate the Levallen and Trevalyan inquisitors to be younger than the Cadash and Adaar inquisitors, but that's just the general impression I got from their intended voice sets.

Cassandra - Late 30's to early 40's

Varric - Exactly 40

Bull - Mid 30's

Solas - Mid 40's

Blackwall - Mid 40's

Leliana - Late 30's

Josephine - Late 20's

 

Personal guesses for everyone else:

Vivienne - Late 30's

Dorian - Late 20's

Sera - Early 20's

Cullen - Mid 30's

And Cole is Cole.

Cullen said he became a Knight-Templar at 18. In Origins, he says he's still new to being a Templar. Guessing he's 29-32, tops.

Josephine is probably in her twenties because she is the heir of her household and has yet to be married off. During her romance arc

it gets revealed that her family has arranged for her to marry an Antivan Duke, and to continue the arc the Inquisitor has to challenge him to a duel.

Thirties would be a bit old for that.

 

Sera is probably in her twenties as well.

 

The rest of the characters are older. Cassandra, Leliana, and Varric are all at or around 40. Blackwall, Vivienne, and Solas probably about the same age.

 

Cullen and Dorian are probably in their early to mid 30s. I'd guess the same for the Iron Buil.

 

I'd bet on Sera being the youngest followed by Josephine. For the oldest, if not counting Cole and

I think viviene is a lot older than every one has said so far....  with her personal quest, you can find a codex entry on an age reducing elixir, which is what she tries to give to the duke who winds up dying...  idk, for some reason im thinking she might be more of a flemeth character than the game lets on....  im gonna go 47 or higher for her age...

Cass is mid to late 30s
Cullen is early 30s
Dorian is early 30s
Varric is late 30s
IB is early to mid 30s
Viv is late twenties to early 30s
Solas is old as ****
Josie is mid to late 20s
Cole depends on how you count. Time in the mortal world? Only a few years. His full existence, old as ****.
Blackwall is mid to late 40s
Hawke is 34/35
Alistair is 30/31
Loghain is early to mid 60s
Stroud is early to mid 40s
Morrigan is mid to late 30s
Kieran is 9/10

Leliana, Sera, Varric, Cullen, Blackwall, and Solas can all be estimated or inferred from in game stuff. Alistair and Hawke's ages are canon, just depends on when their birthday falls. Cass is canon too, but I can't remember what her age is exactly.

Agree i've been thinking the same. Thinking she's over 50 in reality but her younger appearance is magically induced.

I think the writers confirmed Cullen was 'around 30' or '30 ish.' (Can't remember the exact wording)

I'd peg Sera to be early twenties. Cass late thirties. Varric 40 ish. Josie maybe late twenties? She looks quite young.

Blackwall middle forties, Bull late thirties, Dorian late twenties, Leliana late thirties...is that everyone?

Cole is his own special age.

All of the above works out perfectly, as I headcanon my Inquisitor to be mid twenties

You know, Vivienne could easily be in her late forties to early fifties, a lot of people appear a lot younger than they are. My mom for one is constantly mistaken for a woman in her early forties when she is in fact in her early fifties. In Viv's case one might also want to consider that her baldness may mask some aging signs like, say, greying hair.

Cassandra: Was already a full fledged Seeker and Hero of Orlais nearly a decade before Orgins so 40ish give or take.

Cole: Ancient or like 2 depending on your definition

Cullen: He was very young in Origins, so he should be in his early 30s

Dorian: This ones purely a guess but I'd say late 20s

Iron Bull: Late 30s?

Josephine: Officially stated to be in her late 20s

Leliana: Was in her mid to late 20s in Origins so mid to late 30s now

Sera: Based on her dialogue she's in her early 20s

Solas: Early 40s
