I've heard lots of different comments and opinions about this, but didn't see any threads for it.

I would love to play Origins in a remade version for Xbox One and PS4, I know their remaking all the Mass Effect games (at least that's what I heard?) but haven't seem to find anything if that's true for the Dragon Age games.

I know some people would want to leave it the way it is (and will hate this idea no doubt) and enjoyed it the way it is as did I. Its my favorite out of all the Dragon Ages and it holds a special play in my heart, but I'd love to see what they could do with it for a remade version just like I'm sure a lot of people are excited to see the remade versions of Mass Effect and I know they did that with Metro Light as well.

If I was a millionaire I'd finance the process myself if Bioware would agree to it, but sadly I think this will be more of a fantasy than a reality but who knows, I was supposed to find them remaking those other games for the next gens.

Why not simply play the game on a high-end PC? Most graphics cards I've seen have anti-aliasing and all that other stuff.

most of the reason i haven't sold my PS3 yet is because I've got copies of games like DA:O sitting there, waiting to be played if I desire in the future

Its a fair point; speaking for myself, I actually prefer the console versions. Not because they are better; they aren't - not even close, but I am adapted to the controller and I do like chillin on my couch playing, not my computer desk. And pc version is mouse/keyboard only. I just can't get into that.

Yeah I'm way more of a console gamer, can't get into it either and would prefer to see this on the new gen consoles as well as a remake on the PC for the PC gamers out there that wouldn't mind playing it again with updated graphics.

Playing DA:I made me go back through and play DAO 3 more play throughs and I loved it, not bored once! I'd pay full price again to play it on the new gen consoles.

Yeah, DA:I made me want to play DA:O (for the first time) - 25 hours in and enjoying it a lot; will play DA2 next though not expecting as much from that one

I'd love it if they did this! hopefully they would give the dlc for free since I wouldn't buy them all over again. I've heard BioWare may make a Mass Effect trilogy all over for next gen but have not heard anything on the Dragon Age world. I can play DA:O all over again without DLC, it's got the content to do it, the DLC don't have much effect on the main story anyways.

It might come to the PS4 through Playstation Now at some point, but having an actual version of the game on the PS4 or Xbox One would be nice.

Ah it makes me so excited! I can't wait for the next installment of any Dragon Age game in general (even though I really want it to be DAO) I'm ready for more even though I'm still playing through DAI and DAO but I'm ready for some DLC for more story telling or something! It's like reading a good book you can't put down then it ends an you want/have to know what's going to happen next!

I would love this. I'm playing DAI for the second time now and after my current playthrough is over, I'm gonna be back to DAO and continue my unfinished playthrough.

I could hear the track that play on the party camp during the entire day. Damn nostalgia :3

Considering the problems I've been having to try to get character's downloaded into Dragon Age Keep (apparently I'm locked out from the character profiles, let alone being able to log onto DA servers with DA:O and DA2 with my Xbox 360), it would make it a lot easier to synchronize the info.

Though it would be great if there was a way of transitioning characters created with Xbox 360 and PS3 into the Xbox One/PS4 games without having to recreate the characters.

I'd love to see Origins (and DA2 for that matter) being updated to Xbox One graphics (with all the downloadable content available, though it would be cool if some new content was created as add-ons).

Gods I would happily throw all my money at Bioware to get my hands on Dragon Age Origins HD, whenever I go back and play DA origins I never get bored.
I know exactly what's coming up next but enjoy it every time. Alas, with Inquisition I'm struggling to do my second playthrough...it's tedious, bland.
Bioware please give us Dragon Age Origins HD, WE NEED IT !

remaster this please!

Reskin all the old quanari, elf models. Armor skins, add new armors/weapons.

Pay a team to voice the protaganist and do all the lipsyncing.

Tweak the combat for consoles (keep same for PC)

I will buy and play again!

You shouldn't expect much. Keep your expectations low and you might be ok with it.

Not in a rush to get a remastered version. They still need to do Star Wars KoTOR Remaster for new gen systems first and Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster before touching this game. It's still somewhat fresh, but I can imagine not many people played KoTOR yet.

To each their own, personally i can't imagine playing games like TES and Dragon age with anything other than mouse and keyboard.

So...was Origins really that good? Does it still hold up well? Never played it but topics like this make me wan't to get it on my Xbox 360...but does it suffer from being overrated and clouded with nostalgia?

Something less than 10 years old has nothing to do with "nostalgia".  DA:O is only 6.  I haven't even gotten a new computer since I bought it.  I was just playing it the other day.  It's a good game.

Yes Dragon Age Origins is amazing, it never gets old even after 4+ play throughs!
