I thought it might be nice for those of us using CE to modify Camera / FOV settings to share what works well for them.

The settings I'm currently using are:

Infinite Zoom: ON (if nothing else this makes for some spectacular screen-shot opportunities)

Minimum Zoom: -.5 (this provides a usable first-person perspective when zoomed-in all the way)

Tactical Zoom Override: 30 (for me this is about what I want out of a tactical view)

FOV Override: 65 (I would go wider, but I'm hitting 30fps in certain areas and don't want to go below that. Will play with it more later)

These settings give me a game that plays much more like DAO, with a few extras like a first-person view, and makes the game vastly more enjoyable. I'm not using any of the actual cheat settings and never plan to, but the camera and FOV settings have made this game 10x better IMHO.

I have not yet played with the Current Zoom, Free Camera, or Toggle HUD settings...

What setting are you using and why?

After a bit more playing around I've settled on these settings for now:

Infinite Zoom: ON (if nothing else this makes for some spectacular screen-shot opportunities)

Minimum Zoom: -.6 (this provides a usable first-person perspective when zoomed-in all the way, without my character showing up as much when walking down steps etc.)

Tactical Zoom Override: 30 (for me this is about what I want out of a tactical view)

FOV Override: 75 (Gives a nice view without much performance hit. I've only seen FPS below 30 in one scene with this, and that was 28fps and still looked and ran fine with vsync off (if you leave vsync on you'll get dramatically slower input response as the framerate slows). Mostly I'm up above 40fps.)

With Patch 2 and later the FOV Override no longer functions. Bummer. But the Minimum Zoom and Tac Zoom Overrides still function.
