Ok, after this patch my hair is all shiny, what setting to I need to change to put this back the way it was?
Nothing will fix it atm so all you can do is wait for a hotfix or someone to find a workaround on how to fix it by editing some game file.

You cant, Bioware really screwed the game this time. sorry.
Oh boy. Some poor schmuck on reddit got REALLY bad luck.
Stop smoking that pipe granny!

LOL!
I'm sorry, but that is effing hilarious!
I think it's funny that people think spamming the boards because of busted patches is unusual. From what I've read of this thread, for the most part people are just legitimately venting their frustration. You should have seen the old Ultima Online boards on patch day. Half the people screaming because the bug they were exploiting was fixed and half screaming because a NEW bug (or 8 or 20) was screwing their character up. For the two years I played, it was normal to have a monthly patch, then the patch to fix the patch, then a roll back and another patch that, hopefully, fixed at least the most egregious bugs. You learned to go with the flow, since the developers were also learning as they went. Luckily, back then, several of the developers were on the boards daily discussing issues and just hanging out. That tended to keep the drama to a minimum.
Spamming is a way to voice our disappointment. I didn't spent over 600€ to buy a Gtx980 4G just to have a shitty 399 euro ps4 graphics. The game was just fine for me i can play a fairy costant 60fps just keeping shadow to hight and all the rest to Ultra. Worst, ps4 graphics is now better, better dettail, better texture. So the point is if i paied the game and i paied the hardware i deserve the right to play as it meant to be. The game was FINE now is Broken so Bioware damaged it. To my umble opinion a patch can causse some issue but not to the point to destroy the game, this is a mistake ore a poorly Q.C. what ever might be the reason i think Bioware should correct it in termo of hours, not weeks otherwise the should rollback the patch. If they plan to let us play the game graphically broken for week they might well lose a lot o consumer and i thing afer DA2, Inquisition is the last chance.

Too much wearing of the ring of power going on here. One step away from pure Gollum ![]()

I understand not reading through all 60 pages of a forum thread before posting, but if you'd just read the last two....
The game is locked at low quality graphics options. Nothing you do, that we've been able to find, can fix this. Most likely, a new DragonAgeInquisition.exe is needed.
Here you go, few posts from twitter:
1. @dragonage so the patch that was said to improve stability now makes the game crash more any word on when this will be fixed
@SiniterShinigam We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
2. It appears that we can longer have scars in #DAI after today's patch?
@Qeilla We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
3.everyone now has shiny hair too even though I'm using ultra/high settings for everything
@NeensLewis We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
So yeah, even answer is like copy, paste

What's the exe gonna have to do with it?
One other small thing i have experienced is, that in multiplayer the grass is rendered like pre patch (at least i cannot see a difference), but in singleplayer it looks ... not as good as before the patch. (PC setting ultra, DX renderer)

All my exe's live in Texas.
I am so sorry for everyone's characters. LOL.
Can't say the patch does graphically anything worse. On PC and after the patch, e.g. the ice looks the same as before. Hair is a bit more shiny, blood is a bit more shiny.
Spoiler
I love the blood being more shiny. Actually looks like blood!

Seems players did their job by reporting the problems. That's good.
What's the exe gonna have to do with it?
I've posted my theories twice, and am afraid I'll get a warning if I repost a third time. Search through my previous posts for why I think a new exe is needed. I think my latest is on page 58.

That really is standard fare, they could try rephrasing the same sentence every time they respond but that wouldn't help. The fact that they're responding quickly is actually a good sign.

A pretty impotent and ineffectual way, though. In the entire history of complaining (which probably goes all the way back to Adam living in Eden and thinking out loud "I'm bored"), repeating the same angry bleating over and over has never once resulted in a problem going away.
If Yoda were here, he would counsel patience, young Jedi.
What the crap are you doing there Bioware, really, HELP me understand. How on ****** earth can a broken patch like this make its way to the public, do you really test NOTHING prior to release? Just code the lines, compile it and force feed it to everybody?
I'm absolutely baffled on how this **** can happen, if these is the quality we can expect from future games, please stop making them, please please please please please pretty please. Just make kitty island adventure 9 for consoles and leave us PC games alone.
If you have short blond hair as a male, say goodbye to it! I went from short blond hair to NO hair at all!

Lmao!! And i thought my character was looking bad post patch. Haha!.
People of Thedas finally discovered grease! Be happy for them! I know I'm not ![]()
On the other hand, radar showing points of interests on your map is a nice thing to have... Also the mouse seems a bit more reactive now. Still, I think I'll wait with playing until people stop blinding my poor inquisitor with their hair. How is she supposed to fight demons when she can't see?
