The console command:

Perfoverlay.DrawFps 1

does not work if Mantle is in use?

(not sure the camel case is correct - it might be PerfOverlay)

Thank you.  Used to running Fraps in background (which obviously won't work in mantle).  Will try this once I get home.

Thanks for the heads-up. Do you guys by any chance have any news regarding the performance drop and increase in CPU usage some folks have been experiencing despite the current workaround since the implementation of Patch 2?

Conal, what about this?

It doesn't work on Mantle, unfortunately.

They haven't given a time frame for when the hotfix will be out, no.

So in the meantime you are trolling a thread over what anecdotal means? Constructive.

Wow... The game crashes just as much as pre-patch.

Plus, now the game looks worse with shiny hair and over saturated colors.

I give up.

Ok, Bioware I would like to apologize for ripping you guys due to the unstableness my game has been since launch. I tried everything...EVERYTHING to stop the CTD, whiteout fog, and flickering shadows. But nothing worked. Then I learned that Nvidia's driver 344.75 is AWFUL. And they stealthed a hotfix 344.80 http://nvidia.custhe...-driver-344.80

That solved all my issues. I can now run on SLI, buttery smooth, and played 2hrs straight without a single crash, which is a world record for me, fog is fixed, and flickering is gone. So any of you Nvidia users out there, try clean installing 344.80 because 344.75 is AWFUL, I repeat, AWFUL. Saved this game for me and now I can enjoy myself.

Bioware, please post this in a tweet or blog. 344.75 is broken for this game.

This seems to be for 980 only, right?

Since patch 2, I cannot connect to dragon age servers. Anyone else has this problem or am I the lucky beneficiary of this?

Not to mention now game crashes every single time I exit.

It's like the company is trying really really hard to make me dislike them and just get pirated games from them not buying. It could be funny under different circumstances.

Conal, what about this?

I'm afraid I don't know enough about this specific issue to comment on it. If you have experienced performance problems related to Patch 2, please report them to @dragonage on Twitter or on Answers HQ. They will be able to provide you better technical support than I can. (Most of my computer knowledge is restricted to simply knowing that I am using a computer right now. Or at least I think I am.)

What are your specs? Are you for sure that is fixes the fog issue? (it's been driving me insane (dual 970s))

I was the one who used the word in the first place, it's other people who mistook my meaning and tried arguing about it.  And I have been trying to help people by suggesting things like Origin repairs, driver updates, etc.

No, it is for all NVIDIA cards, it is working fine for mine and I'm running a 2x 680

 No crashes or flickering.

And fog is completely fine now.

One of the fixes in the release notes is for 980s, but the other two seem to be for Nvidia users in general, and the driver should work with any Nvidia card.

Ya, for everyone...

Basically, blah blah blah we messed up the last stable release.

Wary of said link. There are no updates on Nvidia.com, no beta drivers for the alleged "344.80" -- 344.75 is, in fact, the latest version. I don't download "drivers" from "custhelp.com", sorry. So I call shenanigans on the entire thing.

It has been posted about in AHQ, here: http://answers.ea.co...se/td-p/4101401

It's also being talked about elsewhere, and it seems that there are a large amount of people who have a completely broken game post patch. Nothing official from EA yet to say that they're even looking in to this issue, only the graphics problems.
