Can we make the AI not so stupid, cause I admit seeing them evade/barrel roll off edges is pretty funny, but it's getting old when they stand right in the enemies face. I would also like to know why when I cast barrier, the mage companion with me does as well. It's pretty weird, and when they cast the freeze spell on a frozen enemy. The AI has been dumbed down, and so have my beloved tactics. I prefer to focus on my main character and switch to another character to grab aggro or something... Now they do stupid everything lol.

Thank you Bioware. Now I don't have to think about workaround. Took you only 3 weeks to release screwed patch, that changes almost nothing. You are da best. Appreciate it. Looking forward for more brilliant and quick uptades. After all "made by pc players for pc players".

I don't think you should mention the word brilliant around here so much these days my friend...

Are we gonna need to restart Origin to get the hotfix to download, or will it just start on it's own?

If they can do this I think it would help with textures loading, freezes, crashes, loading times, ect.

Yes so do me and my girlfriend. It would help immensely and is why it why it was posted. This was also posted in the central bug thread that was started up a while back about the inability to install the 2nd disc for the console games to eliminate the over heating issue which as was stated causes a bunch of other issues including freezes, crashes and loading times.

Also BW the audio dialogue skipping is still around on the 360 post patch when talking to companions and NPC's when attempting to talk to them. This happens at Haven, Redcliffe and other places as well in the game still.

Right click on DAI and use the "Check for update".

That's the best way to see it when it is there =)

What about those like myself who haven't even downloaded the broken patch yet in the hopes that Bioware would come to their senses and do the smart thing by just pulling the patch until the fix was done(But I guess asking them to do the smart thing was too much you know)? Are we just going to get a fixed version of the patch or is it going to download the broken patch and then download the fix?

If it is like the original patch, you will simply get a notification in the upper right hand corner of the game icon in your library, telling you there is an update.  Whether or not origin needs to be restarted to see it, I'm not sure.  But it will not automatically apply the hotfix.

As it is a hotfix and not a reworked patch, you will need to download the "broken" patch first.

Okay, let's chill out a little on discussing whether or not something is a bug and whose bug is best.

Lord Surinen, we are aware of your issue and are looking into it. I appreciate your report and concern, but can't give you any further information at this point.

As a general note, these forums are not your best and fastest way to get technical support. If you have an issue that needs attention, posting it on AHQ or tweeting @dragonage will get you more prompt support. These are the official and best channels for receiving help, not the BSN. This has been the standard since the technical support forums were moved from the BSN to AHQ.

Of course, on these pages you can and will still get support from your fellow players who may be able to troubleshoot you a little bit, and it is a good resource for that. But if you are looking for official technical support, you will need to contact the appropriate channels. I know some people don't like using twitter, but it can be a good place to start off a discussion or make our tech support aware of it. I also understand that people don't like going to an unfamiliar site to make posts, but AHQ is the best place for troubleshooting.

That's nice of you to have stoped this harassement over Lord Surinen.

At the same time, you deliver a little bit sad news but I understand that it's difficult to keep track of every bugs reports.

No, no quotes around broken. It is a broken ****** patch. There is no doubt there.

So essentially I am being forced to break my game, albeit temporarily. As I said before. There better be some free DLC or something from this or I'm never buying another Bioware product.

Unless you for some reason open the game and start playing after the patch is installed, but before the hotfix, it's not really going to affect anything. So I'm a little puzzled as to where the indignation is coming from.

Aside from the stigma of AHQ being an unfamiliar site, it also seems like an indirect route to report issues and seek answers. Since the BSN is a gateway to direct access to the actual people who made the game, it stands to reason that it would be the best place to...at the very least, report feedback on issues such as the problems Patch 2 had introduced.

I certainly hope the feedback on the various issues people have been experiencing in this thread is being parsed and forwarded to the appropriate dev team members for analysis.

Personally, I have reported the issues I have been experiencing with Patch 2 on the appropriate threads on AHQ. But somehow, I feel more confident regarding giving feedback when someone from BioWare is active on a given thread.

While I'd never scoff at free ****, expecting it is kind of funny.  I entirely agree that the trend of developers putting out broken games and just figuring "meh, we'll patch it later" needs to stop.  However, demanding trinkets to placate you is not the solution and smacks of childish impulse control issues.  Don't demand flowers when your SO cheats on you.  Demand fidelity ;)

Really? This is an obstacle? I know fandom can be reactionary and averse to change, but this is kinda ridiculous.

As Conal or w/e his name admitted in a previous post, some Inquis/Custom Hawkes will be stuck with old looking faces due to this patch because the reason they didn't look old before is that it wasn't working as intended. Another DA developer mentioned that they are working on something like the Black Emporium from DA2 where you could change your face.

That is what I am referring to mostly by free DLC. I think it is hardly demanding to expect them to release that for free. If they turn around and make this Black Emporium for DA:I a paid DLC... well, that's ridiculous.
